Rubber TR414 Snap-In Valve Stems
Rubber valve stems. Fit 0.453" diameter valve hole. Effective length 1-1/2".
Fitment and specs
- TR414 rubber snap-in valve stems
- Fit 0.453" diameter valve holes
- Effective length 1-1/2"
- Rubber construction with snap-in fitment
Installation happens from inside the rim with the bead broken. A little lubricant and a valve stem puller draw the stem through until the groove seats all the way around, and a soapy water check at the base confirms the seal once the tire holds pressure.
Common questions
How do I pick the right TR size?
The common TR snap-in sizes fit the same 0.453 inch valve hole and differ mainly in length. The TR414 measures 1-1/2 inches effective, so compare that against the stem coming off your wheel.
Why does my current stem leak at the base?
Rubber hardens with age and the seal against the rim eventually gives up, especially once the surface starts to crack. A new stem restores that seal, which is why stems are normally replaced with every tire change.
