Examples their listings name, with the hub stud thread your hub-side nuts must match: the Jeep Wrangler 1987–1995 and 1997–2006 (1/2"-20), Ford Mustang 1994–2014 (1/2"-20) and 2015–2026 (14x1.5; not the Mustang Mach-E), Toyota Avalon 1995–2022 (12x1.5), Honda Accord 2003–2026 and Civic 2006–2026 (12x1.5; not the Civic Type R, which is 5x120) and Nissan Altima 2002–2025 (12x1.25). The 73.1mm or 73mm center bore clears their hubs. Convert 5x4.5" to 6x4.5" (1/2" studs), 6x135 (14x2 studs), 6x5.5" (14x1.5 studs) or 8x6.5" (14x1.5 studs).

5x4.75" (5x120.65) hubs

Examples their listings name: the Chevy Camaro 1967–1981 and Pontiac Trans Am 1969–1981 (7/16"-20 hub studs) and the Camaro 1982–2002, Corvette 1984–2019 and S10 1982–2004 (12x1.5), all with 70.3mm hubs, which the 74.1mm or 74mm center bore clears; on a 1993–2002 Camaro, measure the rear hub too before ordering; on a 1982 Camaro, check the hub-side thread before buying nuts. The Camaro 2010–2024 and Corvette 2020–2025 are 5x120, so these do not fit them. Convert 5x4.75" to 6x120, 6x135 (14x2 studs), 6x5.5", 8x6.5" or 8x170 (14x1.5 studs on each but the 6x135). The 1" 5x4.75" to 8x180 adapter is a one-piece design (14x1.5 studs), its listing says; it gives no center bore, so measure your hub before ordering.

5x5" (5x127) hubs

Examples their listings name: the Jeep Grand Cherokee 1999–2016 (1/2"-20 hub studs through 2010, 14x1.5 from 2011) and Dodge Durango 2011–2016 (14x1.5), whose 71.5mm to 71.6mm hubs the 78.3mm center bore clears, and the Chevy C1500 2WD 1988–1999 (14x1.5) and C10 1971–1987 (1/2"-20), whose 78.1mm to 78.3mm hubs match it with little or no clearance, so measure yours first. Convert 5x5" to 6x4.5" (12x1.5 studs), 6x135 (14x2 studs), 6x5.5" or 8x6.5" (14x1.5 studs).

5x5.5" (5x139.7) hubs

Their listings say they do not work on the Jeep CJ, and the 8x6.5" one adds that it does not work on any locking hub. Examples their listings name: the Dodge Ram 1500 2002–2010, Dakota 2005–2010 and Durango 2004–2009 (77.8mm hub, 9/16"-18 hub studs), the Dodge Ramcharger 1985–1993 (100mm hub, 1/2"-20) and the Ford Bronco 1966–1996 (87.1mm hub, 1/2"-20; not the Bronco II), all cleared by the 108mm center bore. For the other four conversions, if your truck has locking hubs, check that they clear the inner plate before ordering. Convert 5x5.5" to 6x4.5" (1/2" studs), 6x135 (14x2 studs), 6x5.5", 8x6.5" or 8x180 (14x1.5 studs).

5x135 hubs: 1997–2003 F-150

Their listings name the 5-lug Ford F-150 1997–2003 and Expedition 1997–1999 and 2001–2002, whose 87.1mm hub the 87.2mm or 88mm center bore clears. Hub-side nuts: 12x1.75 on the 1997–1999 trucks and 14x2.0 on the 2001–2003 F-150 and 2001–2002 Expedition (a 2000 truck can have either, so check). Convert 5x135 to 6x135 (14x2 studs; 6x135 is the pattern of 6-lug F-150 wheels from 2004–2026 (not the F-150 Raptor or F-150 Lightning)), 6x5.5" or 8x6.5" (14x1.5 studs).

5x150 hubs: Tundra 2007–2021, Sequoia 2008–2022 and Land Cruiser 1998–2021

Their listings name the 5-lug Toyota Tundra 2007–2021, Sequoia 2008–2022 and Land Cruiser 1998–2021 (14x1.5 hub studs), whose 110mm to 110.1mm hubs match the 110.1mm center bore with almost no clearance, so measure your hub first (on the Sequoia, measure the front and rear hubs: sources disagree by 0.5mm). The Tundra 2022–2023 and Sequoia 2023–2026 have 6x5.5" hubs instead. Convert 5x150 to 6x5.5" (12x1.5 studs), 8x6.5" or 8x170 (14x1.5 studs).

6x4.5" (6x114.3) and 6x5" (6x127) hubs

• 6x4.5": examples their listings name: the Dodge Dakota 1991–2004, Durango 1999–2003 and Viper 1992–2017 (71.5mm to 71.6mm hubs, 1/2"-20 hub studs) and the Pathfinder 2005–2012 and Xterra 2005–2015 (66.1mm hubs, 12x1.25 studs), all cleared by the 78mm or 78.1mm center bore. Convert to 5x4.5", 5x5" or 5x5.5" (1/2" studs).
• 6x5": examples their listings name: the Chevy TrailBlazer 2002–2009 and SSR 2003–2006 and the GMC Envoy 2002–2009 (12x1.5 hub studs), whose 77.8mm to 78.3mm hubs sit at or under the 78.3mm center bore, so measure your hub first. Convert to 5x4.5", 5x4.75" or 5x5" (12x1.5 studs).

6x135 hubs: F-150 2004–2026 (6-lug; not F-150 Raptor or F-150 Lightning)

Their listings name the 6-lug Ford F-150 2004–2026 (not the F-150 Raptor or F-150 Lightning), Expedition 2003–2026 (not the Expedition EL or Max) and Lincoln Navigator 2003–2026 (not the Navigator L), whose 87.1mm hub the 87.2mm center bore clears. Hub-side nuts: 14x2.0 on 2003–2014 trucks and 14x1.5 on 2015–2026 trucks. Convert 6x135 to 5x4.5" (1/2" studs), 5x4.75" (12x1.5 studs), 5x5" (14x1.5 studs), 5x135 (14x2 studs, the 1997–2003 F-150 pattern), 5x5.5", 8x6.5" or 8x180 (14x1.5 studs; the 8x180 comes in 1.5" or 2").

6x5.5" (6x139.7) hubs: 6-lug Silverado 1500 1999–2023, 6-lug Tacoma 1995–2023, 4Runner 1984–2024 and Tundra 2000–2006

Examples their listings name: the 6-lug Chevy Silverado 1500 1999–2023, 6-lug Tahoe 1995–2023 and 6-lug Suburban 2000–2023 (78.1mm to 78.3mm hubs, 14x1.5 hub studs), the 6-lug Tacoma 1995–2023, 4Runner 1984–2024, Tundra 2000–2006 and FJ Cruiser 2007–2014 (106.1mm hub, 12x1.5 studs), the Tacoma 2024–2026 and Tundra 2022–2023 (95mm to 95.2mm hub, 14x1.5 studs) and the Frontier 1998–2004 (100.1mm hub, 12x1.25 studs), all cleared by the 108mm center bore. 7x150, 8x170 and 8x180 hubs

• 7x150: 2" adapters to 6x135, 6x5.5" and 8x6.5" (14x1.5 studs) for the 7-lug Ford F-150 and F-250 their listings name: the F-250 Light Duty 1997–1999 and heavy-duty F-150 2004–2014 (14x2.0 hub studs, 87.1mm hub). Their 87.1mm center bore is the same size as that hub, so measure your hub before ordering: the bore must clear it. See 7 lug wheel adapters.
• 8x170: their listings say they do not fit the rear axle of a 4WD truck or any locking hub. Examples their listings name: the F-250 Super Duty 1999–2025, single-rear-wheel F-350 Super Duty 1999–2025 and Excursion 2000–2005, whose 124.9mm to 125mm hubs the 125.6mm center bore clears. Hub-side nuts: 14x2.0 on 1999–2002 trucks and 14x1.5 on 2005–2025 trucks; sources disagree on the changeover, so on a 2002, 2003 or 2004 truck check the stud thread. Convert to 6x135 (14x2 studs) or 6x5.5" (14x1.5 studs).
• 8x180: the 8x180 to 6x5.5" adapter (14x1.5 studs, 125.6mm center bore) is for 8x180 hubs, such as the Silverado 2500HD and single-rear-wheel Silverado 3500HD 2011–2022 its listing covers (124.1mm hub, 14x1.5 studs). Its listing warns that it does not work on some 4WD locking hubs, which stand out far enough to block the outer plate.

4 lug and 3 lug hubs

• 4x100: examples their listings name: the US-market 4-lug Acura Integra 1986–2001 (not the Integra Type R), US-market Honda Civic 1980–2005 (not the 2004–2005 Civic Si) and Toyota Corolla 1988–2002 (12x1.5 hub studs), cleared by the 64mm center bore. Convert to 5x100 (1.5"), 5x4.75" or 5x5" (1.75"), all with 12x1.5 studs, or the hub centric 4x100 to 5x120 (1.5", 12x1.5 studs), for factory BMW 5x120 wheels with a nominal 72.6mm center bore (its listing charts a ring for 74.1mm BMW wheels); measure the hub and wheel center bore before ordering; confirm that the wheel bore clears the wheel-side pilot and both mounting faces seat flush. Its listing warns that it does not fit a brake caliper style found on some older BMWs (pictured there).
• 4x4.5" (4x114.3): examples their listings name, with the hub stud thread your hub-side nuts must match: the 4-lug Honda Accord 1990–1997, Acura CL 1997–1999 and 2.5TL 1995–1998 and Hyundai Elantra 1992–2006 (12x1.5) and the Nissan Altima 1993–2001, 240SX 1989–1994 and Infiniti G20 1991–1996 and 1999–2002 (12x1.25), cleared by the 73mm center bore. Convert to 5x100 (1.5"), 5x4.5" (1/2" studs), 5x120 (14x1.5 studs), 5x4.75" or 5x5" (12x1.5 studs).
• Other 4 lug and 3 lug hubs: 4x110 to 5x4.5" (73.1mm bore); 4x130 to 5x112 and 4x130 to 5x4.5" (83.9mm bore), whose listings name the 4-lug Porsche 914 1970–1976 (not the six-cylinder 914-6); it uses 14x1.5 lug bolts, so the hub-side bolts are bought separately, and its hub bore is not confirmed, so measure the hub against the 83.9mm bore before ordering; the 4x156 ATV to 6x5.5" adapter; and the 3x112 to 4x100 and 3x112 to 5x112 adapters for 3x112 hubs (their listings give no stud thread or center bore).

How to choose a 2-piece adapter

• Hub first: an adapter is named hub pattern first, wheel pattern second, and never works in reverse. Measure your bolt pattern if you are unsure, and check that the adapter's center bore clears your hub.
• Hub-side hardware: buy hub-side nuts or bolts separately in your vehicle's thread. On stud-equipped hubs, use open-end nuts that sit flush in the adapter's mounting holes. The listings include new wheel studs.
• Wheel-side nuts: the wheels mount on the adapter's own studs, so the lug nuts must match those studs (listed above; the 4x4.5" to 5x100, 4x110, 4x130 and hub centric 4x100 to 5x120 adapters have 12x1.5 studs, the 4x156 and 1" 5x4.75" to 8x180 adapters 14x1.5, and the 3x112 listings give no thread) and your wheels' seat.
• Studs: on the pairs whose listings say so, factory studs that stand proud of the inner plate and stop the outer plate or the wheel seating flush need shortening.
• Thickness: most are 2" thick, some 1" to 1.75", and the wheel moves out by that much, so check fender clearance.
• Torque: torque the lug nuts or bolts and, where fitted, the black connecting bolts to the values on our torque reference, and check them again after the first 50 to 100 miles.

Common questions

What is a 2-piece wheel adapter? An adapter made as two bolted plates, used when the hub's bolt holes and the new pattern's holes would overlap on one plate. The inner plate bolts to your hub; the outer plate carries the new wheel studs.

Can I put 6 lug wheels on a 5 lug truck? Yes, with a 5 to 6 lug adapter that matches your hub: for example 5x135 to 6x135 runs 6-lug F-150 wheels from 2004–2026 (not the F-150 Raptor or F-150 Lightning) on a 5-lug F-150 1997–2003, and 5x5.5" to 6x5.5" runs 6x5.5" Chevy Silverado 1500 1999–2023 wheels on a Dodge Ram 1500 2002–2010.

Can I put 5 lug wheels on a 6 lug truck? Yes: for example 6x5.5" to 5x5" or 5x150 on a 6-lug Silverado 1500 1999–2023, or 6x135 to 5x135 on a 6-lug F-150 2004–2026 (not the F-150 Raptor or F-150 Lightning).
