Is it safe to put 5-lug wheels on a 4-lug car? Yes with a hub-centric adapter torqued to spec. The adapter becomes the load path, so quality and proper installation matter. Re-torque after the first 25–50 miles.

Can I use these on a trailer? Yes. Matching a 4-lug trailer hub to your truck's 5-lug spare is one of the most common uses. Lug-centric is acceptable at trailer speeds; hub-centric is still the safer pick.
