7 lug conversion adapters bolt to Ford's 7x150 hub (14x2.0 studs, 87.1mm hub), used on the F-250 Light Duty 1997–1999 and on 7-lug heavy-duty F-150s 2004–2014. Our 2" pairs convert it to 6x135, 6x5.5", 8x6.5" or 8x170 wheels (the 8x170 pair's listing names the 7-lug F-150 only); the 1.5" pair keeps 7x150.

7 lug adapters by wheel pattern & common questions
Which trucks have a 7x150 hub?
The F-250 Light Duty 1997–1999 (the F-150-based truck, not the Super Duty) uses 7x150 with 14x2.0 studs and an 87.1mm hub. Heavy-duty (HD) F-150s 2004–2014 with 7 lugs use the same 7x150 pattern, 14x2.0 thread and 87.1mm hub. Five-lug F-150s 1997–2003 use 5x135. Six-lug F-150s 2004–2026 (not the 2004 Heritage, F-150 Raptor or F-150 Lightning) use 6x135, so count your lugs and measure your bolt pattern before ordering.
7x150 to 8x170: 8x170 Super Duty wheels on a 7-lug HD F-150 2004–2014
The 7x150 to 8x170 hub centric pair (2", 14x1.5 studs) runs 8x170 wheels, including factory wheels from the F-250 Super Duty and single-rear-wheel F-350 Super Duty 1999–2025; its listing names the 7-lug F-150 only. It is hub centric to the 87.1mm hub, and its wheel side is made for factory wheels with a nominal 124.9mm center bore; measure the hub and wheel center bore before ordering; confirm that the wheel bore clears the wheel-side pilot and both mounting faces seat flush.
7x150 to 6x135 and 6x5.5": 6x135 Ford and 6x5.5" Chevy wheels
- The 7x150 to 6x135 pair (2", 14x1.5 studs, 87.1mm center bore) runs 6x135 wheels, the pattern of the 6-lug F-150 2004–2026 (not the F-150 Raptor or F-150 Lightning), Expedition 2003–2026 (not the Expedition EL or Max) and Navigator 2003–2026 (not the Navigator L) wheels its listing names.
- The 7x150 to 6x5.5" pair (2", 14x1.5 studs, 87.1mm center bore) runs 6x5.5" (6x139.7) wheels, such as 6-lug Chevy Silverado 1500 1999–2023, 6-lug Tahoe 1995–2023 and 6-lug Suburban 2000–2023 wheels, which its listing names.
Both listings name the 7-lug F-150 and the 7-lug F-250, so both fit the F-250 Light Duty 1997–1999.
7x150 to 8x6.5": 8x6.5" Chevy and Ram wheels
The 7x150 to 8x6.5" pair (2", 14x1.5 studs, 87.1mm center bore) runs 8x6.5" (8x165.1) wheels, such as 8-lug Chevy Silverado 1999–2010, Suburban 2500 1992–2013 and Ram 2500 1994–2026 wheels, which its listing names. 2011–2023 Silverado 2500HD wheels are 8x180 and do not fit it. Its listing also names the 7-lug F-150 and F-250; the verified applications here are the 7-lug HD F-150 2004–2014 and F-250 Light Duty 1997–1999.
7x150 same pattern spacers: 1.5"
The 7x150 bolt-on spacer pair keeps the 7x150 pattern and moves each wheel out 1.5". Its studs are 14x2.0; check that your wheel lug nuts match this thread and the seat your wheels require. New studs are included. Buy hub-side open-end lug nuts separately in your vehicle's stud thread and the seat required by the spacer. Its 87.1mm center bore is the same size as the 87.1mm hub, so measure your hub before ordering: the bore must clear it.
How to choose a 7 lug adapter
- Hub: every pair here is for a 7x150 hub and has an 87.1mm center bore; on the 8x170 pair it is hub centric, for factory wheels with a nominal 124.9mm center bore; measure the hub and wheel center bore before ordering; confirm that the wheel bore clears the wheel-side pilot and both mounting faces seat flush. If your truck is not named above, measure the bolt pattern and hub.
- Two pieces: 7x150 and the new pattern overlap, so the conversion pairs come in two pieces. The inner piece goes on the hub with open-end lug nuts in your hub's stud thread (14x2.0 for the two 7-lug applications named above) that sit flush in its holes; the outer piece, which carries the new studs, bolts to it with the black connecting bolts. The conversion listings include new wheel studs and do not list hub-side nuts, so plan on buying those.
- Wheel lug nuts: the conversion pairs have 14x1.5 studs, so the wheels need 14x1.5 lug nuts with the seat your wheels require.
- Studs: on these conversion pairs, whose listings say so, factory studs that stand proud of the inner piece and stop the outer piece or the wheel seating flush need shortening.
- Thickness: each conversion pair is 2" thick and the spacer pair 1.5", and the wheel moves out by that much, so check fender clearance.
- Torque: torque every lug nut and connecting bolt to the values on our torque reference, and check them all again after the first 50 to 100 miles.
Common questions
What trucks have a 7 lug bolt pattern? Ford's 7x150: the F-250 Light Duty 1997–1999 and 7-lug HD F-150s 2004–2014. Most F-150s have 5 or 6 lugs, so count yours first.
Can I put 8 lug wheels on a 7 lug Ford? Yes, with a 2" conversion pair: 7x150 to 8x170 for 8x170 Super Duty wheels (F-250 Super Duty and single-rear-wheel F-350 Super Duty, 1999–2025) on a 7-lug HD F-150 2004–2014 (hub centric, for factory wheels with a nominal 124.9mm center bore; measure the hub and wheel center bore before ordering; confirm that the wheel bore clears the wheel-side pilot and both mounting faces seat flush), or 7x150 to 8x6.5" for 8x6.5" wheels, such as 8-lug Silverado 1999–2010 and Ram 2500 1994–2026 wheels, on a 7-lug HD F-150 2004–2014 or F-250 Light Duty 1997–1999.
Can I put 6 lug wheels on a 7 lug Ford? Yes, on a 7-lug HD F-150 2004–2014 or F-250 Light Duty 1997–1999: 7x150 to 6x135 for 6x135 wheels, such as 6-lug F-150 2004–2026 (not the F-150 Raptor or F-150 Lightning), Expedition 2003–2026 (not the Expedition EL or Max) and Navigator 2003–2026 (not the Navigator L) wheels, or 7x150 to 6x5.5" for 6x5.5" wheels, such as 6-lug Silverado 1500 1999–2023 wheels.
Do these adapters change the wheel offset? Yes. Each wheel sits 2" farther out on a conversion pair, or 1.5" on the spacer pair, which widens the track.
