Ball Seat Lug Bolts

Ball seat lug bolts use a rounded, radius seat that matches the spherical lug holes on many Mercedes, Audi, VW and Porsche factory wheels. Stocked in 12x1.5, 14x1.5.

Choosing ball seat bolts

Confirm your wheel's seat is rounded rather than a straight taper, then match thread (12x1.5 and 14x1.5 stocked) and shank length, adding spacer thickness if you run spacers. Lock versions are available for theft deterrence.

Common questions

How do I tell ball seat from conical? Set your current bolt against a flat edge: a ball seat curves like a dome; a conical seat is a straight 60 degree angle. The wheel hole shows the same shape.

Do aftermarket wheels use ball seat? Rarely. Most aftermarket wheels are conical; ball seat is mainly a factory European design. Changing wheel types usually means changing bolts.

Can I reuse factory bolts with spacers? No, you need longer shanks: stock length plus spacer thickness, to keep full thread engagement in the hub.
