Jaguar spacer fitment guide & common questions

XJ6 1970–1997, XJ12 1972–1996, US XJ8 1998–2003, US XJR 1995–2003, XJS 1976–1996, XJR-S 1989–1993, US XK8 1997–2006 and US XKR 2000–2006 wheel spacers: 5x120.65 (5x4.75"), 1/2"-20 thread

These Jaguars use 5x120.65 with a 1/2"-20 thread. The hub on all of them (XJ6 1970–1997, XJ12 1972–1996, US XJ8 1998–2003, US XJR 1995–2003, XJS 1976–1996, XJR-S 1989–1993, US XK8 1997–2006 and US XKR 2000–2006) is 73.8mm. Fit the 5x4.75" bolt-on pair with 1/2" studs (74.1mm center bore, 1.25"), which clears the hub and centers on the studs.

The 10mm hub centric slip-on pair for this pattern is listed for the XJ and XK series 1969–2003 (its listing does not name the 2004–2006 XK8 or XKR) with a factory hub height up to 12mm, measured with the diagram on its listing; the listing says certain models can use it on the rear axle only and that its extended-hardware options are sized for original wheels only. Its bore is not stated, so measure your hub and check the listing before ordering it. On a studded hub, never shorten the studs on a slip-on; keep the thread engagement required by the vehicle, wheel and fastener manufacturers, fit suitable longer studs if they fall short, and check that closed-end lug nuts do not bottom out. For a different wheel pattern, see 5x4.75 hub wheel adapters.

XF 2009–2024, XFR 2010–2015, XJ 2010–2019, XJR 2014–2019, XK 2007–2015, XKR 2007–2015, S-Type 2000–2008, X-Type 2002–2008 and F-Type 2014–2022 wheel spacers: 5x108, 12x1.5 thread, 63.4mm hub

The XF 2009–2024, XFR 2010–2015, XJ 2010–2019, XJR 2014–2019, XK 2007–2015, XKR 2007–2015 and F-Type 2014–2022 use 5x108 with a 12x1.5 thread and a 63.4mm hub; the S-Type 2000–2008 and X-Type 2002–2008 use the same pattern, thread and 63.4mm hub (one source lists 63.5mm). Fit the 5x4.25" bolt-on pair (70.7mm center bore, 12x1.5 studs, 1" or 1.25"), which clears the hub and centers on the studs. The F-Type 2023 is not confirmed by an outside source, and the 2024 is confirmed for pattern and thread only, so check the bolt pattern and measure the hub before ordering.

How to choose a Jaguar spacer: slip-on or bolt-on, thread, hub bore and thickness

Slip-on spacers slide over existing wheel studs like a thick washer, ideal for thin adjustments. Bolt-on spacers bolt directly to factory studs using separate hardware and feature their own integrated studs to mount the wheel, ideal for wider setups. The two Jaguar bolt-on pairs recommended here are lug centric: their center bore is larger than the hub, so the studs, not the hub, center them.

  • Thread: 1/2"-20 on the 5x120.65 Jaguars above; 12x1.5 on the 5x108 Jaguars above. A bolt-on pair's studs must carry your vehicle's thread. On a hub with wheel studs, lug nuts in your vehicle's stud thread and the pair's required seat clamp the pair to the hub (your own nuts only if they meet both); on a hub with lug bolts, the hub-side bolts are bought separately in your car's thread and the pair's required seat, because bolt-on spacers do not include lug bolts. The wheel then mounts on the pair's studs with lug nuts that match both the pair's stud thread and your wheels' seat (check whether the listing includes nuts).
  • Hub bore: 73.8mm on the XJ6 1970–1997, XJ12 1972–1996, US XJ8 1998–2003, US XJR 1995–2003, XJS 1976–1996, XJR-S 1989–1993, US XK8 1997–2006 and US XKR 2000–2006; 63.4mm on the XF 2009–2024, XFR 2010–2015, XJ 2010–2019, XJR 2014–2019, XK 2007–2015, XKR 2007–2015, F-Type 2014–2022, S-Type 2000–2008 and X-Type 2002–2008 (one source lists 63.5mm for the S-Type and X-Type). A lug centric pair's center bore only has to clear the hub. If your Jaguar is not named above, measure the hub, or measure your bolt pattern if you are unsure of it.
  • Thickness available: 1.25" (lug centric 5x4.75" pair); 1" or 1.25" (5x4.25" pair); 10mm (slip-on pair for the XJ and XK series 1969–2003, for a factory hub no taller than 12mm and rear axle only on certain models; its bore is not stated, so measure your hub and check the listing before ordering it; on a studded hub, never shorten the studs on a slip-on; keep the thread engagement required by the vehicle, wheel and fastener manufacturers, fit suitable longer studs if they fall short, and check that closed-end lug nuts do not bottom out). Start with the thinnest that clears; on a thin bolt-on pair whose listing says so, factory studs that stand proud of its face and stop the wheel seating flush need shortening; never shorten the studs on a slip-on.
  • Torque: torque to Jaguar's specification for your model and check the nuts again after the first 50 to 100 miles.

Common questions

Which spacers fit a Jaguar XJ6 or XJ8? XJ6 1970–1997, XJ12 1972–1996 and US XJ8 1998–2003: the lug centric 5x4.75" pair with 1/2" studs (74.1mm center bore, 1.25").

Which spacers fit a Jaguar XF or F-Type? XF 2009–2024 and F-Type 2014–2022: the 5x4.25" pair with 12x1.5 studs (70.7mm center bore, 1" or 1.25"). On an F-Type 2023–2024, check the bolt pattern and measure the hub first.

Do XK8 spacers fit the later XK? No. The US XK8 1997–2006 and US XKR 2000–2006 are 5x120.65 with a 1/2"-20 thread; the XK 2007–2015 and XKR 2007–2015 are 5x108 with a 12x1.5 thread and take the 5x4.25" pair.

Do bolt-on Jaguar spacers include lug nuts? Each listing says what it includes. The pair fastens to the hub with lug nuts in your car's stud thread and the pair's required seat on a studded hub (your own nuts only if they meet both), or with hub-side lug bolts in your car's thread and the pair's required seat, bought separately, on a lug-bolt hub, since bolt-on spacers never include lug bolts. The wheel mounts on the pair's studs with lug nuts that match both the pair's stud thread and your wheels' seat (check whether the listing includes nuts).
