Thread each nut onto the stud by hand for several turns before using any tool so a crossed thread never gets a chance to start. Tighten in a star pattern to the spec for your vehicle on our torque reference chart, then re-torque after 50 to 100 miles of driving.
Common questions
How do I know whether my car takes 12x1.5 or another pitch?
The 1.50 is the thread pitch, the spacing between the threads, and it is not interchangeable with 12x1.25 or 12x1.75. The right nut spins on smoothly by hand; if it binds within the first couple of turns, stop and confirm your stud spec.
Will these work with mag or ball seat wheels?
No. Bulge acorn nuts seat on a tapered cone, so your wheel's lug holes must be machined for a cone seat. Mag and ball seat designs need their own matching nuts, and the seat types are not interchangeable.
