Install with the washer sitting flat against the wheel, start every nut by hand, then tighten in a star pattern to the value on our torque reference chart. Re-torque after 50 to 100 miles so the shank and washer stay fully seated.

What is the washer for on a mag style lug nut?
The washer sits between the nut and the wheel face and spreads the clamping load as the 1.38" shank extends into the wheel's lug hole. Always install these nuts with their washers in place.
Can I run these on a wheel made for conical or ball seat nuts?
No. Seat types are not interchangeable. A conical or ball seat wheel will not clamp correctly on a shank-and-washer mag nut. These are made for mag seat wheels such as Cragar SST/Weld and Racing wheels, so confirm your wheel's seat type first.
