Tips
+ How to install 2-piece conversion adapters
+ Use the thread engagement required by the vehicle, wheel and fastener manufacturers; do not rely on a single turn count for every thread size.
+ Perform a periodic check to ensure that they are torqued accordingly.
+ Our application guide page will answer most of your application fitment questions!
Fitment and specs
- Bolts to a 5x5" (5x127mm) hub
- Accepts 8x6.5" (8x165.1mm) wheels
- Takes a 5-lug hub to an 8-lug wheel
- 2" thickness per adapter
- Sold in pairs, free US shipping
This lets a 5x5" hub carry 8x6.5" wheels. Make sure each adapter beds flat on a clean mounting surface, then torque the fasteners to your vehicle's factory specification with help from the torque reference chart and re-torque after the first 50 to 100 miles. Any factory studs that protrude past the adapter face need to be trimmed so the wheel seats flush.
Common questions
Are wheel adapters safe?
They are made for road use when seated flat against the hub with full stud and thread engagement, torqued to your vehicle's factory spec, and re-torqued after the first 50 to 100 miles. Use hub centric rings where the listing calls for them.
Will 8-lug wheels really bolt to my 5-lug hub?
Yes. The adapter carries a 5x5" pattern on the hub side and a full 8x6.5" pattern on the wheel side.
