A flat-seat nut clamps against a flat surface around the lug hole, so make sure the nut face sits flush before final tightening. Start each one by hand, snug with a 14mm socket in a crisscross pattern, then torque to your machine's spec using our torque reference chart and re-torque after 50 to 100 miles.
Common questions
Can I use bulge or tapered nuts on a flat-seat wheel?
No. Seat styles have to match the wheel. A flat-seat wheel needs a flat-seat nut like this one; a tapered or bulge nut will not clamp evenly against a flat surface and can loosen over time.
What tool do I need to install these?
A standard 14mm socket or wrench fits the hex. Thread the nut on by hand first to avoid cross-threading the 10x1.25 stud, then bring it to final torque with the socket.
