Hand-thread each nut several turns before reaching for tools so the 3/8" x 24 thread starts cleanly, then tighten with a 17mm socket in a crisscross pattern. Torque to your machine's spec using our torque reference chart, and re-torque after 50 to 100 miles of riding.

How many should I order?
These are sold per piece. Count the studs on one hub, multiply by the number of wheels you are servicing, and order that total. Replacing all corners at once keeps the black finish consistent around the machine.
Will these work on a flat-seat wheel?
No. The bulge seat is rounded to center into tapered lug holes. A wheel with flat lug seats needs a flat-seat nut, since mismatched seats will not clamp evenly and can loosen.
