Start each bolt by hand to protect the hub threads, snug in a star pattern, then set final torque with a torque wrench using your vehicle's spec from our torque reference chart. Re-torque after 50 to 100 miles.
Common questions
Can I install these with an impact gun?
Use hand tools for the final pass. An impact can shoot well past the target torque, which overstresses the bolt and can chew up the black head. A torque wrench set to spec keeps the finish and the clamping force where they should be.
Will these work on a wheel drilled for ball seat bolts?
No. Conical and ball seats are not interchangeable, even at the same 12x1.5 thread. The tapered seat has to match the wheel's bolt holes to center and clamp correctly, so compare against a bolt you currently run.
