Start every bolt by hand for several turns so you never cross-thread the hub. Snug them in a star pattern, tighten to the value in our torque reference chart, and re-torque after 50 to 100 miles of driving.
Common questions
Can I use these on wheels with ball or mag seats?
No. Seat types are not interchangeable. These bolts have a conical seat, so the wheel needs matching tapered seats for the bolt to clamp flat and hold torque. Ball seat and mag seat wheels each require their own hardware.
Why does the 23mm shank length matter?
The shank is the smooth section between the seat and the threads, and it is sized to the factory wheels listed above. If you are replacing a damaged bolt, match it against the old one: 12x1.25 thread, 19mm hex, 23mm shank.
