ET Lug Nuts (Extended Thread)
ET lug nuts carry their threads into a small shank that extends below the seat into the wheel's stud hole, adding several extra turns of engagement on thick wheels or short studs. Stocked in 12x1.25, 12x1.5, 12x1.75, 14x1.5, 14x2, 1/2", 7/16", 9/16".

When to choose ET style
Pick ET nuts when a standard nut leaves too few threads engaged, common with thick aftermarket wheels or slightly short studs. A good rule: thread engagement should at least equal the stud diameter. Available in conical and bulge seats, open end.
Common questions
What does ET stand for on lug nuts? Extended thread. A threaded shank below the seat reaches into the wheel's stud hole, so more of the stud is gripped.
Do I need ET nuts with my aftermarket wheels? If your studs sit noticeably below the top of a standard nut's threads, yes. Count visible threads: fewer than the stud's diameter worth of engagement is the warning sign.
Open end or closed end ET? Open end lets long studs pass through completely; closed end caps the stud for a cleaner look but limits maximum stud length.
