Start each bolt by hand for several turns so the fine 12x1.50 threads never cross, then tighten with a 17mm socket in a star pattern. Set final torque to the value in our torque reference chart and re-torque after 50 to 100 miles of driving.

Common questions

Can I run ball seat bolts in a wheel drilled for conical seats?
No. The seat is what centers the wheel and carries the clamping force, and ball and conical shapes do not mate correctly with each other. Match the bolt to the seat machined into your wheel.

How do I confirm the 24mm shank is correct for my car?
Pull one of your existing bolts and measure the threaded shank from the base of the ball seat to the tip. If it reads 24mm with 12x1.50 threads, this is the match. A shorter bolt reduces thread engagement and a longer one can bottom out before it clamps.
