Start every nut by hand for several turns before reaching for tools; a 14x2 thread that feels tight after one turn is likely cross-threaded, so back it off and restart. Torque in a star pattern to your vehicle's spec using our torque reference chart, then re-torque after 50 to 100 miles.
Common questions
Is 14x2 the same as 14x1.5?
No. Both are 14mm studs, but the thread pitch is different, and forcing a 2.0 pitch nut onto a 1.5 pitch stud will damage the threads. Confirm your pitch with a thread gauge or your vehicle specs before ordering.
What size socket do these take?
The hex is 7/8". A six-point socket grips the flats better than a 12-point and is kinder to the chrome finish during installation.
