Left hand thread tightens counterclockwise, the reverse of a standard lug nut, so run each one on by hand first to be sure it is not cross-threading. Tighten in a star pattern to your vehicle's spec using our torque reference chart, then re-torque after 50 to 100 miles.
Common questions
How do I know if my truck needs left hand thread?
A left hand nut only fits studs cut with left hand threads, found on many of the Chevy and GMC trucks this style fits. If your current nuts loosen counterclockwise like a normal bolt, your studs are right hand thread and you need the standard version instead.
Are these interchangeable with mag or ball seat lug nuts?
No. This is an acorn style nut that seats against a taper in the wheel. Conical, mag, and ball seats each require a wheel machined for that seat, so match the seat as well as the 9/16"-18 left hand thread.
