GM 1/2" External Thread Lug Nut

Special GM OEM style 1/2" lug nuts with external threads. These lug nuts fit Chevy, GMC trucks and vans. They are used to accept screw on newer decorative covers or caps onto the older GM trucks and vans which have 1/2" thread stud. Start each nut by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten to your vehicle's factory specification with a torque wrench and the torque reference chart. Re-torque after the first 50 to 100 miles so the clamp load settles evenly across all of them.

Common questions

How do I confirm the thread size?
This nut uses a 1/2" thread. Match it to your current lug nuts or the GM applications shown in the description above so the diameter and pitch agree before you install.

Does the seat shape matter?
Yes. Lug nut seats are not interchangeable between conical, ball, and mag styles, so this nut has to match what your wheels are cut for. Your existing OEM hardware is the easiest reference.
