Thread each nut on by hand first so you catch any cross-threading before it does damage, then tighten in a star pattern. Bring the nuts to your vehicle's spec with a torque wrench, using our torque reference chart as a guide, and re-check torque after 50 to 100 miles.
Common questions
Do these need a specific seat type on the wheel?
Yes. Acorn style means a tapered seat, which self-centers in a matching tapered lug hole. Conical, mag (shank), and ball seats are not interchangeable, so make sure your wheels take a tapered seat nut before you buy.
How do I confirm 1/2"-20 is the right thread?
Check one of your current lug nuts or studs. The size is often stamped on factory hardware, or you can match a new nut against a known 1/2"-20 stud by threading it on by hand. It should spin on smoothly with no force.
