Start each nut by hand for several turns to rule out cross-threading, then snug the wheel down in a star pattern. Tighten to your vehicle's spec using our torque reference chart and re-torque after 50 to 100 miles of driving.
Common questions
Will an open end lug nut work with longer wheel studs?
Yes. The open top lets the stud pass through the nut, so extra stud length is not a problem the way it can be with a closed acorn nut. Just confirm your studs are 12x1.75 thread.
Can I use these on a wheel made for mag or ball seat lug nuts?
No. Acorn nuts use a tapered cone seat, and the seat type has to match the wheel's lug holes. A cone seat nut will not clamp correctly in a mag or ball seat wheel, so check your wheel's seat style before ordering.
