What does the washer do on a mag style lug nut?
It spreads the clamping load across the wheel's flat mounting surface while the 0.33" shank centers the nut in the lug hole. That is why the seat styles cannot be swapped for one another.
Will these fit wheels made for conical seat nuts?
No. A wheel machined for a tapered seat needs conical nuts. These are for wheels with flat washer seats and shank pockets only.
