Like all snap-in stems, the TR412 is pulled through the valve hole from inside the rim until the rubber base seats, so plan the swap for when the tire is dismounted or being replaced. Once installed, air the tire up and check around the base with soapy water to confirm a clean seal.

Will this fit my wheel?
It fits the 0.453" valve hole, the common size on most passenger car and light truck wheels. If your current stem is a screw-in metal type or the hole measures larger than 0.453", this snap-in stem is not the right match.
Should valve stems be replaced with new tires?
Yes. The rubber in a snap-in stem ages and cracks just like tire rubber, and a worn stem is a common cause of slow pressure loss. Fitting fresh stems at every tire change is inexpensive and saves chasing leaks later.
