Common questions

Are wheel adapters safe for daily driving? Hub-centric and lug-centric adapters are both made for road use. Install them correctly: torque them to your vehicle's spec, re-torque after the first 50 to 100 miles, use hub centric rings where the listing calls for them, and confirm full stud engagement and wheels rated for your vehicle. Hub-centric designs center the wheel on the hub the same way the factory wheel mounts, which helps prevent vibration from an off-center fit.

Hub-centric vs lug-centric — which do I need? Both are made for road use, so pick the one listed for your hub and wheels. Hub-centric adapters center on a hub lip, while lug-centric adapters are centered by the lug nuts. Either way, torque to your vehicle's spec, re-torque after the first 50 to 100 miles, and use hub centric rings where the listing calls for them.

Will an adapter change my wheel offset? Yes — an adapter pushes the wheel out by its thickness. A 1" adapter moves the wheel 1" outboard, so factor that into fender and suspension clearance before choosing thickness.
