These slip over your existing studs, so stud length is the main thing to check: with the 1/2 inch spacer in place, your lug nuts should still make about seven full turns onto the studs. Torque to your vehicle's spec using the torque reference chart, then re-torque after 50 to 100 miles of driving.
Common questions
Will these work with both 5x4.5 and 5x5 wheels?
Yes. They are made for 5-lug bolt patterns from 4 1/2 inches through 5 inches, so any pattern in that range is covered as long as your wheel and hub share the same pattern. A flat spacer does not convert one bolt pattern to another.
Do I need longer studs?
Not always, but you need enough thread left. If your lug nuts cannot make roughly seven turns with the spacer installed, fit longer studs before driving on them.
