Left hand nuts tighten counterclockwise and loosen clockwise, the opposite of standard hardware, so keep that in mind before pulling on the wrench. Start each nut by hand, then tighten in a star pattern to the spec in our torque reference chart and re-torque after 50 to 100 miles.
Common questions
How do I know if I need left hand thread lug nuts?
If the lug nuts on your hub tighten counterclockwise, or a standard nut will not start on the stud no matter how carefully you align it, your studs are left hand thread and this is the nut you need. Left and right hand nuts are not interchangeable.
Do these have to match my wheel seat?
Yes. Acorn style nuts use a tapered seat, and a tapered seat only mates correctly with a tapered lug hole. Mag seat and ball seat wheels need their own nut styles, so match the seat before you order.
