Run each nut down by hand first, then torque in a star pattern to the spec in our torque reference chart. Re-torque after 50 to 100 miles so the taper stays fully seated.
Common questions
Will these seat correctly on my wheels?
They have a 60 degree taper seat, so they belong on wheels with cone-shaped lug holes. Mag seat and ball seat wheels take different hardware, and mixing seat types keeps the nut from clamping the way it should.
Does the closed end change anything at install?
The capped end keeps water and grime off the stud threads, but it also means the stud cannot pass through. Confirm your stud does not bottom out inside the nut before the taper contacts the wheel, so you get full clamping force.
