Hand-start each nut for several turns before putting a wrench on it, then tighten the wheel in a star pattern to the value on our torque reference chart. Re-torque after 50 to 100 miles so the washer and wheel finish seating against each other.
Common questions
How do I confirm 12x1.75 is the right thread for my truck?
Match it to a nut currently on the truck. The 12 is the stud diameter in millimeters and 1.75 is the thread pitch; the correct nut spins on by hand with no resistance. If it binds after a turn or two, stop and recheck the size.
Will these seat on aftermarket wheels?
Only if the wheel is designed for a washer-style OEM nut. Wheels cut for conical or ball seats need that seat type instead, since seat styles are not interchangeable.
