Thread each nut on by hand a few turns first to rule out cross-threading, then tighten in a star pattern using the included spline key and a torque wrench set to your vehicle's spec. Our torque reference chart lists common values by vehicle. Re-torque after 50 to 100 miles of driving, since fresh hardware can settle as it seats.
Common questions
Do I need to match the seat type to my wheels?
Yes. Conical, mag and ball seat lug nuts are not interchangeable, so check which seat your wheels are machined for before installing any new hardware. A mismatched seat will not sit correctly in the lug pocket.
Will a regular socket work on these?
No. The spline drive only accepts the key that comes in the kit, so keep it with your jack kit or spare tire tools so it is on hand for rotations and roadside changes.
