Install with the tire deflated and the bead broken, and aim the 65 degree bend toward your access point before the stem is seated tight. After inflating, brush soapy water over the base and the valve core and watch for bubbles before the wheel goes back into service.

Why choose a bent valve stem?
The 65 degree bend angles the valve tip away from the wheel, which makes it easier to land an air chuck or pressure gauge squarely where a straight stem would sit too deep or too close to the wheel to reach comfortably.
What is the difference between effective length and base length?
Effective length is the usable stem length from the rim hole to the tip, 3" on the TR612A. Base length is the 1.5" straight section on the rim side before the bend.
