This stud threads into place instead of pressing in. Screw the end that matches the tapped hole in your hub or adapter down until it is fully seated, leaving the other end exposed for the lug nut. Torque the lug nuts to the value in our torque reference chart and re-torque after 50 to 100 miles.

Which end goes into the hub?
Whichever end matches your hardware. Check the thread of the tapped hole in your hub, drum, or adapter; the matching end (14mm x 1.50 or 12mm x 1.5) screws in, and the end left exposed has to match your lug nuts. Confirm both sizes before ordering.
How do I seat a screw-in stud without damaging the threads?
Use the double-nut method: run two nuts onto the exposed end, tighten them against each other, then turn the inner nut to drive the stud in until it seats. Break the nuts loose from each other and spin them off when done.
