5 lug spacer fitment guide & common questions

5x114.3 (5x4.5") wheel spacers: pick by hub bore and thread

5x114.3 is the most common 5 lug pattern, but the hub bore and stud thread change from make to make, so match both:

  • 64.1mm hub, 12x1.5: Honda Civic 2006–2026 (not the Type R), Accord 2003–2026, US CR-V 1997–2026 and HR-V 2016–2026 and Acura TSX 2004–2014 and RDX 2007–2024 take the 5x4.5" bolt-on pair with 12x1.5 studs (73mm center bore, 0.75" to 2"); the Hondas and the TSX and RDX, which its listing names, also take the Honda 15mm hub centric slip-on pair (installed with its included extended studs, with a 64mm centering lip your wheel's center bore must accept), and all of these cars, the cars its listing names, also take the 5x4.5" hub centric Honda and Acura bolt-on pair (64.1mm bore, 12x1.5 studs, 1", for factory wheels with a 64.1mm center bore). Never shorten the studs on a slip-on; keep the thread engagement required by the vehicle, wheel and fastener manufacturers, fit suitable longer studs if they fall short, and check that closed-end lug nuts do not bottom out. See Honda and Acura wheel spacers.
  • 66.1mm hub, 12x1.25: Nissan 350Z 2003–2009, 370Z 2009–2020, Altima 2002–2025, Maxima 1989–2023 and Rogue 2008–2026 and Infiniti G35 2003–2008, G37 2008–2014 and Q50 2014–2022 take the Nissan and Infiniti 10mm and 15mm hub centric slip-on pairs (each with a 66.1mm centering lip your wheel's center bore must accept); all of them, the cars its listing names, also take the 5x4.5" hub centric Nissan and Infiniti bolt-on pair (66.1mm bore, 12x1.25 studs, 1" or 1.25", for factory wheels with a 66.1mm center bore). Never shorten the studs on a slip-on; keep the thread engagement required by the vehicle, wheel and fastener manufacturers, fit suitable longer studs if they fall short, and check that closed-end lug nuts do not bottom out. See Nissan and Infiniti wheel spacers.
  • 60.1mm hub, 12x1.5: Toyota Camry 1996–2023, RAV4 1996–2026, Highlander 2001–2026, Avalon 1995–2022 and Sienna 1998–2026 take the 5x4.5" bolt-on pair with 12x1.5 studs (73mm center bore, 0.75" to 2"); all five, the cars its listing names, also take the 5x4.5" hub centric Lexus and Toyota pair (60.1mm bore, 12x1.5 studs, 1", for factory wheels with a 60.1mm center bore). See Toyota wheel spacers.
  • 67.1mm hub, 12x1.5: Mazda3 2004–2026, CX-5 2013–2026 and MX-5 Miata 2006–2015, Hyundai Elantra 2007–2023, Sonata 2006–2023 and Genesis Coupe 2010–2016, Kia Forte 2010–2022, Mitsubishi Lancer 2008–2017 and Lancer Evolution 2003–2015, Ford Escape 2001–2012 and Fusion 2006–2012 and the first-generation Jeep Compass 2007–2017 and Patriot 2007–2017 take the 5x4.5" hub centric pair with a 67.1mm bore (12x1.5 studs, 1", for factory wheels with a 67.1mm center bore; on a 2017 Compass, measure the bolt pattern first, because a second-generation Compass was also sold as a 2017) or the 5x4.5" bolt-on pair with 12x1.5 studs (73mm center bore, 0.75" to 2").
  • 56.1mm hub, 12x1.25: Subaru Forester 2019–2026, Outback 2015–2026, Legacy 2015–2025, WRX 2015–2026, WRX STI sedan 2005–2007, WRX STI 2008–2021 and Crosstrek 2024–2026 use 5x114.3 with a 56.1mm hub and a 12x1.25 thread. The 5x4.5" hub centric Subaru pair (56.1mm bore, 12x1.25 studs, 1", for factory wheels with a 56.1mm center bore) is listed for all of them.
  • 70.5mm hub: Ford Mustang 1994–2014 (1/2"-20) takes the 5x4.5" hub centric Mustang pair (70.6mm bore, 1/2" studs, 1" to 2"), whose listing covers original wheels and, for vehicles not on its list, a factory hub shaped like its diagram and no taller than 20mm; the Mustang 2015–2026 (14x1.5) takes the 5x4.5" bolt-on pair with 14x1.5 studs (73mm center bore, 1"). See Ford wheel spacers.
  • 71.5mm hub, 1/2"-20: Jeep Wrangler YJ 1987–1995 and TJ 1997–2006, Cherokee XJ 1984–2001, Grand Cherokee ZJ 1993–1998 and US Liberty 2002–2012 take the 5x4.5" hub centric Jeep pair (71.5mm bore, 1/2" studs, 1.5" or 2"), listed for original wheels and, for vehicles not on its list, a factory hub shaped like its diagram and no taller than 20mm. See Jeep wheel spacers.
  • 64.1mm hub, 14x1.5: Tesla Model Y 2020–2026 and Model 3 2017–2023 take the 5x4.5" bolt-on pair with 14x1.5 studs (73mm center bore, 1"), which clears the hub and centers on the studs.

5x120 wheel spacers: BMW, Honda, Acura, GM, Tesla and Land Rover

The Honda Pilot 2009–2026, Odyssey 2005–2026 and Ridgeline 2006–2014 and 2017–2026, the Acura MDX 2007–2013, 2017–2020 and 2022–2024 and TLX 2021–2025, the Tesla Model S 2012–2026 and Model X 2016–2026, the Chevy Camaro 2010–2024 and the Cadillac CTS 2008–2019 and CT5 2020–2026 use 5x120 with a 14x1.5 thread; the Hondas, Acuras and Teslas have a 64.1mm hub and the Camaro, CTS and CT5 a 66.9mm hub. The Hondas, Acuras, Camaro, CTS and CT5 fit the 5x120 pair with a 72.56mm center bore (14x1.5 studs, 1.25" or 1.5"), which clears the hub and centers on the studs (the Teslas share the pattern, thread and hub, but neither 5x120 pair's listing names them); the 5x120 pair with a 67.1mm center bore (14x1.5 studs, 1") is listed for the same cars but not the Teslas. The Land Rover Discovery 1999–2004 and US Range Rover 1996–2002 (P38A, 70.1mm hub) take the 72.56mm-bore pair. BMWs on 5x120 have a 72.6mm or 74.1mm hub and lug bolts in 12x1.5, 14x1.25 or 14x1.5: see BMW wheel spacers for the spacers matched to them.

5x120.65 (5x4.75") wheel spacers for GM cars and classic Jaguars

12x1.5 thread and a 70.3mm hub: Chevy Corvette 1984–2019, Camaro 1982–2002, S10 1982–2004 and Blazer 1995–2005 and GMC Envoy 1998–2000. Choose the 5x4.75" hub centric Corvette pair (70.3mm bore, 12x1.5 studs, 1" to 2"), whose listing covers original wheels and, for vehicles not on its list, a factory hub shaped like its diagram and no taller than 20mm; all of them, the cars its listing names, can also take the 5x4.75" bolt-on pair with 12x1.5 studs (74.1mm center bore, 0.75" to 3"), which its listing describes for aftermarket 5x4.75" wheels. On the Camaro 1982–2002, use the hub centric pair on the front axle only, and before fitting the 74.1mm-bore pair on the rear, measure the rear hub pilot: the center bore must clear it. 7/16"-20 thread: Chevy Camaro 1967–1981, Impala 1958–1970, Bel Air 1955–1970 and Pontiac Firebird 1967–1981 fit the 5x4.75" bolt-on pair with 7/16" studs (73.1mm center bore, 1" to 2"). Some 1955–1970 full-size wagons and heavy-duty cars may be 5x127, so on one of those measure the bolt pattern first. On the Firebird 1982–2002 the hub centric pair goes on the front axle only, and the rear pilot is confirmed at 74.1mm only on some years, so see our Pontiac page before ordering. The Jaguar XJ6 1970–1997 and US XK8 1997–2006 are 5x4.75" with a 1/2"-20 thread: see Jaguar wheel spacers. More GM cars: Chevy and Pontiac wheel spacers.

5x127 (5x5") wheel spacers for Jeep and Dodge

Every 5x127 Jeep below has a 71.5mm hub; the stud thread decides the pair. 1/2"-20: Wrangler JK 2007–2018, Grand Cherokee WJ 1999–2004 and WK 2005–2010 and Commander 2006–2010 fit the 5x5" hub centric Jeep pair (71.5mm bore, 1/2" studs, 1.25" or 2"), whose listing covers original wheels and, for vehicles not on its list, a factory hub shaped like its diagram and no taller than 20mm; all of them, the applications its listing names, also fit the 5x5" bolt-on pair with 1/2" studs (78.3mm center bore, 0.75" to 2"). 14x1.5: the Grand Cherokee 2011–2023, Wrangler JL 2018–2023, Gladiator 2020–2023 and Dodge Durango 2011–2022, the applications its listing names, fit the 5x5" bolt-on pair with 14x1.5 studs (78.3mm center bore, 1" to 2"). On a 2018 Wrangler, confirm JK or JL first. For the older full-size Chevys on 5x127, see our Chevy wheel spacers page.

5x139.7 (5x5.5") wheel spacers for Ram, Dodge, Jeep and older Ford trucks

On these five-lug trucks the stud thread sets the pair: 1/2"-20 and a 77.8mm hub on the Ram 1500 1999–2001 (the 5x5.5" pair with 1/2" studs, 1" to 2"); 9/16"-18 on the Ram 1500 2002–2011 (77.8mm hub), Dakota 2005–2011 and Durango 2004–2009 (the 5x5.5" pair with 9/16" studs, 1" to 2", or the 5x5.5" hub centric pair with 9/16" studs and a 78mm bore, 2"); 14x1.5 and a 77.8mm hub on the Ram 1500 2012–2018 and Ram 1500 Classic 2019–2022 (the 5x5.5" pair with 14x1.5 studs, 108mm center bore, 1.25" to 2"). The Jeep CJ-5 1955–1983, CJ-7 1976–1986 and CJ-8 Scrambler 1981–1986 and the Ford F-150 1987–1996 and Bronco 1966–1996 (not the Bronco II) use 5x139.7 with a 1/2"-20 thread and take the 5x5.5" bolt-on pair with 1/2" studs (1" to 2"), whose listing names "All Jeep", the CJs of 1946–1985 and the 1986 CJ-7 and CJ-8 Scrambler. On a 1986 CJ-7 or CJ-8, and on any CJ, measure the 108mm hub against the pair's 108.2mm center bore before ordering, and since some early Jeeps have left-hand threads on the driver's side, check the thread direction on each side. See Dodge and Ram wheel spacers.

5x115, 5x100, 5x110, 5x108, 5x135 and 5x150 wheel spacers

  • 5x115: Chrysler 300 2005–2023, Dodge Charger 2006–2023 and Challenger 2008–2023 use 5x115 with a 14x1.5 thread. Both 5x115 pairs are listed for all three: the hub centric pair (71.5mm bore, 14x1.5 studs, 1") and the bolt-on pair (73.1mm center bore, 14x1.5 studs, 0.75" to 2"). See Chrysler wheel spacers.
  • 5x100: Subaru Impreza 1993–2023 (not the WRX STI), WRX 2002–2014 (not the STI), US Forester 1998–2018, Legacy 1990–2014, Outback 1995–2014, Crosstrek 2013–2023 and BRZ 2013–2020 and 2022–2026 and the Scion FR-S 2013–2016 use 5x100 with a 56.1mm hub and a 12x1.25 thread. The 5x100 hub centric Subaru pair (56.1mm bore, 12x1.25 studs, 1", for factory wheels with a 56.1mm center bore) is listed for the base Impreza 1993–2004, the Impreza 2.5i and Outback Sport, the Impreza WRX Sport Wagon and TR sedan 2002–2007, the WRX 2008–2014, the Impreza 2009–2023 (not the WRX STI), the US Forester L, S, 2.5X and 2.5XT 1998–2008 and US Forester 2009–2018, the Legacy 1990–2014, Outback 1995–2014, Crosstrek 2013–2023 and BRZ 2013–2020 and 2022–2026 and the Scion FR-S 2013–2016; for another trim of these years, check that pair's listing first. The US Toyota Corolla sedan 2003–2026 (not the Cross, iM, GR or hatchback) and Prius 2004–2022 (54.1mm hub, 12x1.5; the Prius v and Prius c are not matched here) take the 5x100 bolt-on pair (57.1mm center bore, 1" to 2"); both also take the 5x100 hub centric Toyota and Scion pair (54.1mm bore, 1", for factory wheels with a 54.1mm center bore), whose listing names the Corolla sedan through 2026 and the Prius through 2022. For VW and Audi 5x100 cars, see VW wheel spacers.
  • 5x110: Saturn Sky 2007–2010, Pontiac G6 Base/GT 2005–2010 and Solstice 2006–2010 and Chevy HHR 2006–2011 (65.1mm hub, 12x1.5) use 5x110. The 5x110 hub centric slip-on pair (65.1mm bore, 5mm) is listed for all four: check your hub diameter before ordering it. On studs, never shorten the studs on a slip-on; keep the thread engagement required by the vehicle, wheel and fastener manufacturers, fit suitable longer studs if they fall short, and check that closed-end lug nuts do not bottom out. It is flat: a flat spacer centers itself on the hub; the wheel still needs enough factory hub pilot beyond the spacer to engage its center bore. The 5x110 bolt-on pair (65.1mm bore, 12x1.5 studs, 1" or 1.25") is listed for all four too. See Saturn and Saab wheel spacers.
  • 5x108: Ford Taurus 1986–2007, Focus 2012–2018, Escape 2013–2022 and Bronco Sport 2021–2023 and the Jaguar XF 2009–2024 (63.4mm hub, 12x1.5) take the 5x4.25" bolt-on pair (70.7mm center bore, 12x1.5 studs, 1" or 1.25").
  • 5x135: the five-lug Ford F-150 2001–2003 (87.1mm hub, 14x2.0; the heavy-duty 7700 payload package has seven-lug wheels and a different pattern, so count the lugs) takes the 5x135 hub centric pair (87.1mm bore, 14x2.0 studs, 1" to 2") or the 5x135 bolt-on pair (87.2mm center bore, 14x2.0 studs, 1" to 2"). A five-lug 2000 F-150 built before November 27, 1999 has a 12x1.75 thread, which these pairs do not match, and one built on or after that date has 14x2.0, so on a 2000 check the thread before ordering.
  • 5x150: Toyota Tundra 2007–2021 and Land Cruiser 1998–2021 (110mm hub, 14x1.5) take the 5x150 bolt-on pair (110.1mm center bore, 14x1.5 studs, 1" to 2"); both also take the 5x150 hub centric Tundra pair (110mm bore, 14x1.5 studs, 1.5" or 2", for factory wheels with a 110mm center bore), whose listing names both.

Many Mercedes, Audi and VW cars on 5x112 and many Porsches on 5x130 (five-lug hubs only, never center-lock wheels) hold their wheels with lug bolts, and some use lug nuts on studs, so check yours. On a lug-bolt car, bolt-on spacers do not include lug bolts: the pair mounts to the hub with hub-side lug bolts in the vehicle's required thread and the pair's required seat, bought separately. Those hub-side bolts must reach full thread engagement in the hub, with their heads fully recessed below the pair's wheel-side face so the wheel seats flush. See Mercedes, Audi and Porsche wheel spacers.

5 lug universal slip-on rings

The 3mm and 5mm rings are slotted for 4 and 5 lug patterns from 100mm to 120mm, the 3/16" and 5/16" rings for 5x100 to 5x120 (the 5/16" ring is not for a 5x100 hub with 14x1.5 studs), the 1/4", 3/16" and 1/2" rings for 5x4.5" to 5x5", the 1/2" ring for 5x108 to 5x127 and the 1/4" ring for 5x150 and 7x150. They are not hub centric, so check that the ring's center opening clears your hub and that your studs or bolts keep full thread engagement at that thickness. On studs, never shorten the studs on a slip-on; keep the thread engagement required by the vehicle, wheel and fastener manufacturers, fit suitable longer studs if they fall short, and check that closed-end lug nuts do not bottom out.

How to choose a 5 lug spacer: slip-on or bolt-on, thread, hub bore and thickness

Slip-on spacers slide over existing wheel studs like a thick washer, ideal for thin adjustments. Bolt-on spacers bolt directly to factory studs using separate hardware and feature their own integrated studs to mount the wheel, ideal for wider setups. Hub centric is an attribute of both types: a hub centric spacer is bored to the hub diameter, so the hub, not the studs, centers it.

  • Thread: a bolt-on pair's studs must carry your vehicle's thread. On a hub with wheel studs, lug nuts in your vehicle's stud thread and the pair's required seat clamp the pair to the hub. On a hub with lug bolts, bolt-on spacers do not include lug bolts: the pair mounts to the hub with hub-side lug bolts in the vehicle's required thread and the pair's required seat, bought separately. Those hub-side bolts must reach full thread engagement in the hub, with their heads fully recessed below the pair's wheel-side face so the wheel seats flush. The wheel then mounts on the pair's studs with lug nuts that match both the pair's stud thread and your wheels' seat (check whether the listing includes nuts).
  • Hub bore: a hub centric spacer's bore matches the hub; a lug centric pair's center bore only has to clear it. A bore smaller than your hub will not seat. If your vehicle is not named above, measure the hub, or measure your bolt pattern if you are unsure of it.
  • Thickness available: slip-on 3mm to 20mm; bolt-on 0.75" to 3" depending on the pair. Start with the thinnest that clears; on a thin bolt-on pair whose listing says so, factory studs that stand proud of its face and stop the wheel seating flush need shortening, most often at 1"; never shorten the studs on a slip-on.
  • Torque: torque to your vehicle maker's specification and check the nuts or bolts again after the first 50 to 100 miles.

Common questions

Which 5 lug spacers fit a Jeep Wrangler? Wrangler YJ 1987–1995 and TJ 1997–2006: the 5x4.5" hub centric Jeep pair (original wheels; if not on its list, a hub shaped like its diagram and no taller than 20mm). Wrangler JK 2007–2018: the 5x5" hub centric Jeep pair (original wheels; if not on its list, a hub shaped like its diagram and no taller than 20mm), or the 5x5" pair with 1/2" studs. Wrangler JL 2018–2023 (5x127, 14x1.5 studs, 71.5mm hub): the 5x5" pair with 14x1.5 studs.

Which spacers fit a Ford Mustang? Mustang 1994–2014: the 5x4.5" hub centric Mustang pair (70.6mm bore, 1/2" studs; original wheels; if not on its list, a hub shaped like its diagram and no taller than 20mm). Mustang 2015–2026: the 5x4.5" pair with 14x1.5 studs.

Which spacers fit a Subaru? On 5x100, the base Impreza 1993–2004, the WRX 2002–2007 Sport Wagon and TR sedan (not the STI), the WRX 2008–2014 (not the STI), the Impreza 2009–2023 (not the WRX STI), the US Forester 1998–2008 in L, S, 2.5X and 2.5XT trim and US Forester 2009–2018, the Legacy 1990–2014, Outback 1995–2014, Crosstrek 2013–2023 and BRZ 2013–2020 and 2022–2026, the cars and trims its listing names: the 5x100 hub centric Subaru pair (for factory wheels with a 56.1mm center bore); for another trim of these years, check that pair's listing first. On 5x114.3, the WRX STI sedan 2005–2007, WRX STI 2008–2021, WRX 2015–2026, Forester 2019–2026, Outback 2015–2026, Legacy 2015–2025 and Crosstrek 2024–2026, the cars its listing names: the 5x4.5" hub centric Subaru pair (for factory wheels with a 56.1mm center bore).

Do I need longer studs with a slip-on spacer? Usually. A slip-on takes its own thickness out of the thread engagement, so measure what is left and fit longer studs or bolts if it is short. On studs, never shorten the studs on a slip-on; keep the thread engagement required by the vehicle, wheel and fastener manufacturers, fit suitable longer studs if they fall short, and check that closed-end lug nuts do not bottom out. On lug bolts, use longer lug bolts in your vehicle's thread and your wheel's seat, long enough for the thread engagement required by the vehicle, wheel and fastener manufacturers at the spacer thickness you choose, and check that they do not contact brake or other components.
