Bolt-On Wheel Spacers
Bolt-On Wheel Spacers
Bolt-on wheel spacers for 4, 5, 6 and 8 lug patterns, sold in pairs. Bolt-on spacers bolt directly to factory studs using separate hardware and feature their own integrated studs to mount the wheel, ideal for wider setups.

How bolt-on wheel spacers work
They are also known as bolt-on wheel adapters, and every spacer on this page keeps your original bolt pattern; check the wheel's center bore against the pair as well, since one pair here also changes the wheel-side bore. Each spacer mounts to your hub: on a studded hub it clamps to the factory studs with lug nuts in your vehicle's stud thread and the pair's required seat (check the listing for included nuts), and on a lug-bolt hub it needs hub-side lug bolts in your vehicle's thread and the pair's required seat, bought separately. Your wheel then mounts to the studs built into the spacer, so thread engagement for the wheel itself is not reduced. Before installing, confirm the spacer sits flush against the hub: if your factory studs protrude beyond the spacer and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them only where that pair's listing says to, which happens most often with 1" thick spacers. Each listing states the stud thread size, available thicknesses, and bore details to check for your vehicle.
Choosing a thickness
Thickness options are listed on each product page. Pick the thickness that gives your wheel and tire the clearance you need, and confirm the details in the listing for your specific vehicle before ordering.
Hub centric or lug centric
Some bolt-on spacers are machined to match your hub bore for centered mounting. These are marked Hub Centric in the product title. See the full selection on our hub centric wheel spacers page.

Thread, hub bore and hardware
A bolt-on pair's studs must carry your vehicle's thread; the pairs here come with 12x1.25, 12x1.5, 14x1.5, 14x2.0, 16x1.5, 7/16", 1/2" or 9/16" studs, and the ATV pairs with 10x1.25, 12x1.5, 1/2" or 3/8"-24 studs. On a hub with wheel studs, lug nuts in your vehicle's stud thread and the pair's required seat clamp the pair to the hub (your own nuts only if they meet both); on a hub with lug bolts, the hub-side bolts are bought separately in your vehicle's thread and the pair's required seat, because bolt-on spacers do not include lug bolts. Those hub-side bolts must reach full thread engagement in the hub, with their heads fully recessed below the pair's wheel-side face so the wheel seats flush. The wheel then mounts on the pair's studs with lug nuts that match both the pair's stud thread and your wheels' seat (check whether the listing includes nuts). A hub centric pair's bore matches your hub; a lug centric pair's center bore only has to clear it, and a bore smaller than your hub will not seat. If you are unsure of your pattern, measure your bolt pattern.

Common questions
What is the difference between bolt-on and slip-on wheel spacers?
Slip-on spacers slide over existing wheel studs like a thick washer, ideal for thin adjustments. Bolt-on spacers bolt directly to factory studs using separate hardware and feature their own integrated studs to mount the wheel, ideal for wider setups. Browse slip-on wheel spacers if you need a thin adjustment.
