How the hub centric fit works here

Where a pair's lip is sized for factory wheels, the nominal wheel center bore is given below: buy it for those wheels; measure the hub and wheel center bore before ordering; confirm that the wheel bore clears the wheel-side pilot and both mounting faces seat flush. Where a listing gives no hub-side bore, the adapter is not shown to center on your hub, so measure your hub as well. Where a listed lip is larger than that nominal bore, measure the wheel bore first: the lip must pass into it.

5x135 and 6x135 hubs: F-150 1997–2003 (5-lug) and 2005–2026 (6-lug; not F-150 Raptor or F-150 Lightning)

• 5x135 hub (F-150 1997–2003): their listings name the 5-lug Ford F-150 1997–2003 and Expedition 1997–1999 and 2001–2002, which have an 87.1mm hub. The 5x135 to 6x135 pair (14x2 studs) and the 5x135 to 6x5.5" pair (14x1.5 studs) are listed with an 87.1mm hub centric lip; the 6x135 pair is for factory 6x135 F-150, Expedition and Navigator wheels with a nominal 87.1mm center bore, while the 6x5.5" pair's listing does not say which side its 87.1mm lip is on or give a wheel-side bore, so measure the hub and wheel center bore before ordering; confirm that the wheel bore clears the wheel-side pilot and both mounting faces seat flush. The 5x135 to 8x170 pair (14x1.5 studs) has a 125mm lip for factory 8x170 Super Duty wheels with a nominal 124.9mm center bore, 0.1mm under the lip, so measure the wheel bore and confirm that it clears the pilot before ordering. Hub-side nuts: 12x1.75 on 1997–1999 trucks and 14x2.0 on 2001–2003 trucks (a 2000 truck can have either, so check).

Convert to 5x135 (14x2 studs; for factory 5x135 F-150 wheels with a nominal 87.1mm center bore), 5x150 (14x1.5 studs; for factory Tundra 5x150 wheels with a nominal 110.1mm center bore) or 8x170 (14x1.5 studs; for factory 8x170 Super Duty wheels with a nominal 124.9mm center bore). Hub-side nuts: 14x2.0 on 2005–2014 trucks and the 2003–2004 Navigator, and 14x1.5 on 2015–2026 trucks.

5x5.5" (5x139.7) hubs: Ram 1500 2002–2018, Dakota 2005–2011 and Durango 2004–2009

Examples their listings name: the Ram 1500 2002–2018, Dodge Dakota 2005–2011 and Durango 2004–2009 (77.8mm hub) and the Ford Bronco 1966–1996 (87.1mm hub; not the Bronco II). The 5x5.5" to 6x5.5" pair (14x1.5 studs) has a 108mm hub-side bore, which clears these hubs without centering on them, and a 78mm wheel-side lip for factory 1992-on Chevy and GMC 6x5.5" wheels (not Colorado or Canyon) with a nominal 78.1mm to 78.3mm center bore. The 5x5.5" to 6x135 pair (14x2 studs, 87.1mm lip, for factory 6x135 Ford wheels with a nominal 87.1mm center bore) and the 5x5.5" to 8x170 pair (14x1.5 studs, 125mm lip, for factory single-rear-wheel 8x170 Super Duty wheels, the only ones its listing names, with a nominal 124.9mm center bore, 0.1mm under the lip, so measure the wheel bore first) list no hub-side bore. 5x150 hubs: Tundra 2007–2021, Sequoia 2008–2022 and Land Cruiser 1998–2021

Their listings name the Toyota Tundra 2007–2021, Sequoia 2008–2022 and Land Cruiser 1998–2021, whose 110mm to 110.1mm hubs the 110.1mm bore fits closely, so measure your hub first (on the Sequoia, measure the front and rear hubs: sources disagree by 0.5mm). The Tundra 2022–2023 and Sequoia 2023–2026 have 6x5.5" hubs, so these 5x150 pairs do not fit them. Convert to 6x135 (14x1.5 studs; its listing names factory 6x135 F-150, Expedition and Navigator wheels, with a nominal 87.1mm center bore) or 6x5.5" (12x1.5 studs; its listing charts the hub centric ring for each wheel bore, with no ring needed for factory 1992-on Chevy and GMC 6x5.5" wheels (not Colorado or Canyon) with a nominal 78.1mm to 78.3mm bore). Hub-side nuts: 14x1.5.

6x5.5" (6x139.7) hubs: Silverado 1500 1999–2023, 4WD Tacoma 1995–2023, 4Runner 1986–2024 and Tundra 2000–2006

Examples their listings name: the 6-lug Silverado 1500 1999–2023, 6-lug Tahoe 1995–2023 and 6-lug Suburban 2000–2023 (78.1mm to 78.3mm hubs, 14x1.5 studs), the 4WD Tacoma 1995–2023, 4Runner 1986–2024 and Tundra 2000–2006 (106.1mm hub, 12x1.5 studs) and the Frontier 1998–2004 (100.1mm hub, 12x1.25 studs). These five pairs have a 108mm hub-side bore, which clears those hubs without centering on them, so their listings ask you to confirm how the adapter and wheel will be centered; measure the hub and wheel center bore before ordering; confirm that the wheel bore clears the wheel-side pilot and both mounting faces seat flush. The 5x150 pair is for factory Tundra 5x150 wheels with a nominal 110.1mm center bore and the 8x170 pair for factory 8x170 Super Duty wheels with a nominal 124.9mm center bore; neither listing gives a wheel-side lip size. 5x5" (5x127) hubs: Grand Cherokee 1999–2016

• All four listings name the Jeep Grand Cherokee 1999–2016 (71.5mm hub; 1/2"-20 studs through 2010, 14x1.5 from 2011). The 5x5" to 6x135 pair (14x2 studs, 87.1mm lip, for factory 6x135 Ford wheels with a nominal 87.1mm center bore) also lists the Jeep Wrangler (JK) 2007–2018 (71.5mm hub, 1/2"-20 studs).
• The 5x5" to 6x5.5" pair (14x1.5 studs, 78mm lip, for factory 6-lug Chevy Silverado 1500 1999–2023 wheels with a nominal 78.1mm center bore), 5x5" to 8x170 pair (14x1.5 studs, 125mm lip, for factory 8x170 Super Duty wheels with a nominal 124.9mm center bore, 0.1mm under the lip) and 5x5" to 8x180 pair (14x1.5 studs, 124.3mm lip, for factory 8x180 Chevy and GMC wheels with a nominal 124.1mm center bore, 0.2mm under the lip) also list the Chevy C1500 2WD 1988–1999 (78.1mm to 78.3mm hub, 14x1.5 studs) and C10 1971–1987 (78.1mm, 1/2"-20). The 8x170 and 8x180 pairs also list the Jeep Wrangler (JL) 2018–2022 (14x1.5 studs).

• 5x4.5": the listings of the three 2" pairs name a long list of 5x4.5" vehicles. Examples: the Jeep Wrangler 1987–1995 and 1997–2006, Cherokee 1984–2001 and Grand Cherokee 1993–1998 (1/2"-20 studs), the Mustang 1994–2026 (not the Mustang Mach-E), Explorer 1991–2019 and US Ford Ranger 1983–2011 (1/2"-20, or 14x1.5 on the 2015–2026 Mustang) and the Accord 2003–2026 and CR-V 1997–2026 (12x1.5). They list no hub-side bore, so measure your hub. The 1" 5x4.5" to 8x6.5" pair is a one-piece design (14x1.5 studs) for 8x6.5" wheels with a 125.2mm center bore, its listing says; measure the hub and wheel center bore before ordering; confirm that the wheel bore clears the wheel-side pilot and both mounting faces seat flush.
• 5x4.75": examples their listings name: the Chevy Camaro 1982–2002 and S10 1982–2004 (70.3mm hub, 12x1.5 studs; on a 1982 Camaro, check the hub stud thread before buying hub-side nuts). The Camaro 2010–2024 is 5x120, so these pairs do not fit it. Convert to 6x135 (14x2 studs, 87.2mm lip, for factory 6x135 Ford wheels with a nominal 87.1mm center bore, 0.1mm under the lip) or 6x5.5" (14x1.5 studs, 78mm lip, for factory 1992-on Chevy and GMC 6x5.5" wheels (not Colorado or Canyon) with a nominal 78.1mm to 78.3mm center bore). They list no hub-side bore, so measure your hub.

7x150 and 8x170 hubs

• 7x150: the 7x150 to 8x170 pair (14x1.5 studs) is hub centric to the 87.1mm hub of the 7-lug heavy-duty F-150 2004–2014 (14x2.0 hub studs) its listing names and is for factory 8x170 Super Duty wheels with a nominal 124.9mm center bore; see 7 lug wheel adapters.
• 8x170: the 8x170 to 8x200 pair for single wheels (14x1.5 studs, 125.6mm bore; wheel studs and lug nuts included) has a lip built for 8x200 single wheels; measure the hub and wheel center bore before ordering; confirm that the wheel bore clears the wheel-side pilot and both mounting faces seat flush. Its listing names the F-250, F-350 and Excursion from 2003; on 8x170 hubs that means the F-250 Super Duty 2003–2025, the single-rear-wheel F-350 Super Duty 2003–2025 and the Excursion 2003–2005 (124.9mm hub). Hub-side nuts: 14x1.5 on 2005–2025 trucks; on a 2003 or 2004 truck, check the stud thread.

How to choose a 2-piece hub centric adapter

• Hub first: an adapter is named hub pattern first, wheel pattern second. Measure your bolt pattern if you are unsure.
• Wheel bore: where a lip is sized for factory wheels, those wheels are named above. Other wheel bores may need a hub centric ring, where the listing charts one.
• Hub-side nuts: buy open-end lug nuts separately in your vehicle's stud thread to mount the adapter on your own studs; the nuts must sit flush in its mounting holes. These listings include the new wheel studs; the 8x200 pair also lists lug nuts as included.
• Studs: on the pairs whose listings say so, factory studs that stand proud of the inner plate and stop the outer plate or the wheel seating flush need shortening.
• Torque: torque the lug nuts or bolts and, where fitted, the black connecting bolts to the values on our torque reference, and check them again after the first 50 to 100 miles.

Common questions

What does hub centric mean on a 2-piece adapter? The adapter has a machined lip or bore that centers the wheel (and, where the bore matches your hub, the adapter itself) instead of leaving the job to the lug nuts. Where a pair above is made for factory wheels, it names their nominal center bore; for the rest, measure the wheel center bore.

Can I put 6 lug F-150 wheels on a 5 lug F-150? Yes: the 5x135 to 6x135 pair mounts on the 1997–2003 F-150's 5x135 hub and centers factory 6x135 wheels with a nominal 87.1mm center bore.

Can I put Tundra wheels on an F-150? Yes, on a 6-lug F-150 2005–2026 (not the F-150 Raptor or F-150 Lightning): the 6x135 to 5x150 pair mounts on its 6x135 hub and centers factory 5x150 Tundra wheels with a nominal 110.1mm center bore.
