Dodge and Ram spacer fitment guide & common questions
Ram 1500 2019–2022 (six-lug, 6x139.7) and Ram 1500 1999–2018 (five-lug, 5x139.7) wheel spacers by generation
The six-lug Ram 1500 2019–2022, TRX included, uses 6x139.7 (6x5.5") with a 14x1.5 thread and a 77.8mm hub. Fit the 6x5.5" hub centric Ram 1500 pair (77.8mm bore, 14x1.5 studs, 1.5", for factory wheels with a 77.8mm center bore), the 6x5.5" bolt-on pair with a 78mm bore (0.75" to 3") or the 108mm-bore pair (1" or 1.5"). Model years 2023–2026 are not yet confirmed by an outside source. The five-lug Ram 1500 stays on 5x139.7 (5x5.5") with a 77.8mm hub, and the stud thread sets the pair: 1/2"-20 on the Ram 1500 1999–2001 (the 5x5.5" pair with 1/2" studs, 1" to 2"); 9/16"-18 on the Ram 1500 2002–2011 (the 5x5.5" pair with 9/16" studs, 1" to 2", or the 5x5.5" hub centric pair with 9/16" studs and a 78mm bore, 2"); 14x1.5 on the Ram 1500 2012–2018 and Ram 1500 Classic 2019–2022 (the 5x5.5" pair with 14x1.5 studs, 108mm center bore, 1.25" to 2"). If the factory studs stand proud of a bolt-on pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them. Adapters: 6x5.5 hub wheel adapters. Before ordering either the 78mm-bore or the 108mm-bore 6x5.5" pair with 14x1.5 studs, check your hub diameter; the pair's center bore must clear it.
Dakota 1991–2004 and Durango 1999–2003 (6x114.3, 1/2" thread); Dakota 2005–2011 and Durango 2004–2009 (5x139.7, 9/16" thread); Durango 2011–2022 (5x127, 14x1.5 thread) wheel spacers
The Dakota 2005–2011 and Durango 2004–2009 use 5x139.7 with a 9/16"-18 thread and a 77.8mm hub, the same as the 2002–2011 Ram 1500: fit the 5x5.5" pair with 9/16" studs or the 78mm hub centric 9/16" pair. The Dakota 1991–2004, Durango 1999–2003 and Viper 1992–2017 use 6x114.3 (6x4.5") with a 1/2"-20 thread and a 71.5mm to 71.6mm hub: fit the 6x4.5" bolt-on pair with 1/2" studs (73.1mm center bore, 1" to 2"). The Durango 2011–2022 uses 5x127 (5x5") with a 14x1.5 thread and a 71.5mm to 71.6mm hub: fit the 5x5" bolt-on pair with 14x1.5 studs (78.3mm center bore, 1" to 2"). The Dakota 1987–1990 and Nitro 2007–2012 are 5x114.3 with a 1/2"-20 thread and a 71.5mm to 71.6mm hub: fit the 5x4.5" hub centric pair with a 71.5mm bore and 1/2" studs (1.5" or 2", for factory wheels with a 71.5mm center bore), listed for original wheels and, for vehicles not on its list, a factory hub shaped like its diagram and no taller than 20mm. The wheel must seat flush on any of these pairs; every bolt-on pair's listing here except the 71.5mm hub centric pair's says to shorten any factory stud that stands proud of the pair's face and stops the wheel seating flush. Adapters: wheel adapters for Dodge Dakota, wheel adapters for Dodge Durango and 6x4.5 hub wheel adapters.
Ram 2500 1994–2011 and single-rear-wheel Ram 3500 1994–2011 (8x165.1, 9/16" thread); Ram 2500 2012–2026 and single-rear-wheel Ram 3500 2012–2026 (8x165.1, 14x1.5 thread) wheel spacers, 121.3mm hub
The Ram 2500 1994–2011 and single-rear-wheel Ram 3500 1994–2011 use 8x165.1 with a 9/16"-18 thread and a 121.3mm hub: fit the 8x6.5" pair with 9/16" studs (125.6mm center bore, 1" to 3") or the 8x6.5" hub centric pair with 9/16" studs (121.2mm bore, 2"), whose listing excludes the rear axle of 4WD trucks and any locking hub. The Ram 2500 2012–2026 and single-rear-wheel Ram 3500 2012–2026 moved to 14x1.5 studs on the same pattern and hub: fit the 8x6.5" pair with 14x1.5 studs (125.6mm center bore, 1" to 3"). The single-rear-wheel Ram Van 3500 1999–2003 is 8x165.1 with a 120.9mm hub; its stud thread is not confirmed by an outside source for the 3500 itself, so check the thread and then take the 8x6.5" pair with matching studs, which clears that hub. If the factory studs stand proud of a bolt-on pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them. More 8 lug patterns: 8 lug wheel spacers.
Charger 2006–2023, Challenger 2008–2023 and Magnum 2005–2008 wheel spacers: 5x115, 14x1.5 thread, 71.5mm to 71.6mm hub
The Charger 2006–2023, Challenger 2008–2023 and Magnum 2005–2008 use 5x115 with a 14x1.5 thread and a 71.5mm to 71.6mm hub. Fit the 5x115 hub centric pair (71.5mm bore, 14x1.5 studs, 1") or the 5x115 bolt-on pair (73.1mm center bore, 14x1.5 studs, 0.75" to 2"); if the factory studs stand proud of either pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them. The classic Charger 1966–1978 and Challenger 1970–1974 use the 5x114.3 pattern with 1/2"-20 studs; their hub diameter is not confirmed by an outside source, and some classic Mopars carry left-hand studs on the driver's side, so measure the hub and check the thread direction before choosing a pair. Adapters: wheel adapters for Dodge Charger and wheel adapters for Dodge Challenger.
Avenger 1995–2000 and 2008–2014, Caliber 2007–2012, Caravan 2001–2007, Intrepid 1999–2004, Stealth 1991–1996 and Stratus Coupe 2001–2005 wheel spacers: 5x114.3 (5x4.5"), 12x1.5 thread
With a 67.1mm hub: Avenger 1995–2000 and 2008–2014, Caliber 2007–2012, Stealth 1991–1996 and Stratus Coupe 2001–2005 fit the 5x4.5" hub centric pair with a 67.1mm bore (12x1.5 studs, 1", for factory wheels with a 67.1mm center bore) or the 5x4.5" bolt-on pair with 12x1.5 studs (73mm center bore, 0.75" to 2"). With a 71.5mm hub (71.6mm on the Caravan): Caravan 2001–2007, Grand Caravan 1999–2007 and Intrepid 1999–2004 fit the 73mm-bore bolt-on pair with 12x1.5 studs; the 67.1mm hub centric pair is too small for them. If the factory studs stand proud of a bolt-on pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them.
Neon 1999–2005, Stratus sedan 1995–2006, Shadow 1987–1994, Spirit 1989–1995 and front-wheel-drive Caravan 1987–1995 (not AWD or heavy-duty trims) wheel spacers: 5x100, 12x1.5 thread, 57.1mm hub
The Neon 1999–2005, Neon SRT-4 2003–2005, Stratus sedan 1995–2006, Shadow 1987–1994, Spirit 1989–1995, front-wheel-drive Caravan 1987–1995 (excluding AWD and heavy-duty trims; measure the bolt circle to confirm 5x100 before ordering) and Aries 1986–1989 use 5x100 with a 12x1.5 thread and a 57.1mm hub. The 57.1mm hub centric slip-on pairs fit them: the dual-drilled 5x100/5x112 pairs in 5mm and 15mm. For a wider setup, the 5x100 bolt-on pair (57.1mm bore, 12x1.5 studs, 1" to 2") fits the same cars; if the factory studs stand proud of its face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them. The Dart 2013–2016 is 5x110 with a 12x1.25 thread and a 65.1mm hub and takes the 5x110 hub centric slip-on pair (65.1mm bore, 5mm), using longer 12x1.25 lug bolts with the correct wheel seat and enough additional length to maintain full thread engagement with the extra 5mm in place. For the Dart's 5mm pair, check your hub diameter before ordering. On the 5x100 slip-ons, check that the studs keep full thread engagement at the thickness you choose, fitting longer studs if they fall short (from 15mm up, plan on them). With longer studs fitted, check that closed-end lug nuts don't bottom out.
4x100 wheel spacers for the Aries 1981–1985, Charger 1983–1987 (not the 1984–1987 Shelby Charger), Rampage 1982–1984 and Colt 1993–1994 (not the Colt Vista, wagon or AWD models)
The Aries 1981–1985 and Charger 1983–1987 (not the 1984–1987 Shelby Charger: the Shelby is confirmed four-lug for 1983 only) are 4x100 with a 12x1.5 thread and a 57.1mm hub: fit the 57.1mm 4x100 hub centric slip-ons (5mm or 8mm, or 15mm or 20mm with a centering lip your wheel's center bore must accept) or the 4x100 bolt-on pair (64mm center bore, 12x1.5 studs, 1" to 2"). For the lipped 15mm and 20mm pair, follow its narrower application list: Aries 1981–1984 and Charger 2.2 1982–1986, excluding Shelby and Turbo. For every application, confirm the hub dimensions, wheel-bore acceptance of the 57.1mm lip, flush seating, clearance, and the required fastener thread, seat and engagement. The application list alone does not confirm fitment; other years or trims require a separate fitment check. The Rampage 1982–1984 shares the pattern and thread; its hub is not confirmed by an outside source, so measure the hub first: the 64mm-bore bolt-on pair clears any hub under 64mm. The Colt 1993–1994 (not the Colt Vista, wagon or AWD models, which differ) is 4x100 with a 12x1.5 thread and a 56.1mm hub: fit the 56.1mm 4x100 hub centric slip-ons (5mm or 8mm, or 12mm, 15mm or 20mm with a 56.1mm centering lip your wheel's center bore must accept) or the 4x100 bolt-on pair. For the flat 57.1mm 4x100 pairs in 5mm or 8mm, measure your hub or confirm your vehicle's hub size before ordering. For the Colt's flat 8mm pair, confirm your vehicle's hub measures 56.1mm before ordering. The 1989–1992 Colt uses a different bolt pattern, so no 4x100 pair on this page fits it. On a slip-on, check that the studs keep full thread engagement at the thickness you choose, fitting longer studs if they fall short (from 12mm up, plan on them); never shorten studs because they pass through a slip-on, lipped or flat, and check that closed-end lug nuts don't bottom out. If the factory studs stand proud of the bolt-on pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them. Conversions: 4x100 hub wheel adapters, and other makes on the same pattern on the 4 lug wheel spacers page.
Sprinter 2500 2007–2009 wheel spacers: 6x130, 14x1.5 lug bolts, 84.1mm hub
The Dodge Sprinter 2500 2007–2009 uses 6x130 with 14x1.5 lug bolts and an 84.1mm hub: fit the 6x130 Sprinter bolt-on pair (84.1mm bore, 14x1.5 studs, 1.5"). The Sprinter 2500 2003–2006 uses a different pattern (5x130) on the same 84.1mm hub, and this page carries no pair for it. Bolt-on spacers do not include lug bolts: the Sprinter has no wheel studs, so the pair mounts to the hub with hub-side lug bolts in 14x1.5 and the correct seat for the pair, bought separately, and the wheel then mounts on the pair's studs with the lug nuts named in its listing, or lug nuts matching its stud thread and your wheel's seat if none are named. Those hub-side bolts must reach full thread engagement in the hub, with their heads fully recessed below the pair's wheel-side face so the wheel seats flush. Adapters: wheel adapters for Dodge Sprinter.
How to choose a Dodge or Ram spacer: slip-on or bolt-on, thread, hub bore and thickness
Slip-on spacers slide over existing wheel studs like a thick washer, ideal for thin adjustments. Bolt-on spacers bolt directly to factory studs using separate hardware and feature their own integrated studs to mount the wheel, ideal for wider setups. Hub centric is an attribute of both types: the pair is bored to your hub diameter so the hub, not the studs, centers it.
- Thread by generation: Ram 1500 1999–2001 1/2"-20, 2002–2011 9/16"-18, 2012–2018 and Classic 2019–2022 14x1.5; Ram 2500 and single-rear-wheel 3500 1994–2011 9/16"-18, 2012–2026 14x1.5; Dakota 1991–2004 and Durango 1999–2003 1/2"-20, Dakota 2005–2011 and Durango 2004–2009 9/16"-18, Durango 2011–2022 14x1.5; Charger 2006–2023, Challenger 2008–2023 and Magnum 2005–2008 14x1.5 (the classic Charger and Challenger 1/2"-20); most Dodge cars 12x1.5. A bolt-on pair's studs must match.
- Hub bore: a hub centric pair's bore matches the hub (77.8mm on the Ram 1500 pair, 78mm on the 9/16" 5x5.5" pair, 121.2mm on the 8x6.5" pair, 71.5mm on the 5x115 and 5x4.5" Jeep pairs, 67.1mm, 65.1mm, 57.1mm or 56.1mm on the car pairs); a lug centric pair's center bore only has to clear the hub. A bore smaller than your hub will not seat; the small differences between the hub and bore figures above (71.5mm against 71.6mm, 121.2mm against 121.3mm) are rounding in the published sizes. If your Dodge or Ram is not named above, measure the hub, or measure your bolt pattern if you are unsure of it.
- Slip-on thickness: every millimeter of slip-on reduces wheel-fastener thread engagement. On a hub with wheel studs, check that the studs keep full thread engagement at the thickness you choose, fitting longer studs if they fall short (expect them from 12mm up). On the Dart 2013–2016, check your hub diameter before ordering the 65.1mm-bore 5mm pair, and use longer 12x1.25 lug bolts with the correct wheel seat and enough additional length to maintain full thread engagement with the extra 5mm in place. With a universal ring that has no hub centric bore, also check that its center opening clears the hub.
- Bolt-on thickness: 0.75" to 3" depending on the pair. Begin with the thinnest pair that clears. The wheel must seat flush on any pair. On studded hubs, the listings for every bolt-on pair here except the 71.5mm-bore Jeep pair say to shorten factory studs that stand proud of the pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush. On the Sprinter 2500 2007–2009, bolt-on spacers do not include lug bolts: use hub-side 14x1.5 lug bolts with the correct seat for the pair, bought separately, long enough for full thread engagement in the hub and with their heads fully recessed below the pair's wheel-side face so the wheel seats flush.
- Torque: torque to the specification for your truck or car and check the nuts (the wheel bolts on the Dart), and on the Sprinter the hub-side bolts too, again after the first 50 to 100 miles.
Common questions
Which spacers fit a Ram 1500? Ram 1500 2019–2022 (six-lug): the 6x5.5" hub centric Ram 1500 pair (77.8mm bore, for factory wheels with a 77.8mm center bore) first, or the 6x5.5" bolt-on pairs with 14x1.5 studs (78mm or 108mm center bore). Ram 1500 Classic 2019–2022 and Ram 1500 2012–2018 (five-lug): the 5x5.5" pair with 14x1.5 studs. Ram 1500 2002–2011: the 5x5.5" pair with 9/16" studs or the 78mm hub centric 9/16" pair. Ram 1500 1999–2001: the 5x5.5" pair with 1/2" studs. If the factory studs stand proud of a bolt-on pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them. Before ordering either the 78mm-bore or the 108mm-bore 6x5.5" pair with 14x1.5 studs, check your hub diameter; the pair's center bore must clear it.
Which spacers fit a Ram 2500 or single-rear-wheel 3500? Ram 2500 1994–2011 and single-rear-wheel Ram 3500 1994–2011: the 8x6.5" pair with 9/16" studs, or the 121.2mm hub centric 9/16" pair (not on the rear of a 4WD or on locking hubs). Ram 2500 2012–2026 and single-rear-wheel Ram 3500 2012–2026: the 8x6.5" pair with 14x1.5 studs. If the factory studs stand proud of a bolt-on pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them.
Which spacers fit a Charger or Challenger? Charger 2006–2023 and Challenger 2008–2023: the 5x115 hub centric pair (71.5mm bore, 14x1.5 studs) or the 5x115 bolt-on pair. If the factory studs stand proud of a bolt-on pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them.
Which spacers fit a Durango? Durango 1999–2003: the 6x4.5" pair with 1/2" studs. Durango 2004–2009: the 5x5.5" pair with 9/16" studs. Durango 2011–2022: the 5x5" pair with 14x1.5 studs. If the factory studs stand proud of a bolt-on pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them.
Do bolt-on Dodge spacers include lug nuts? Each listing says what it includes. The pair fastens to the hub with your own lug nuts on a studded hub, or with hub-side lug bolts in your car's thread and seat, bought separately, on a lug-bolt hub, since bolt-on spacers never include lug bolts. The wheel mounts on the pair's studs with the lug nuts named in that listing, or with lug nuts matching its stud thread if none are named.
Can a spacer change my bolt pattern? No. A spacer keeps the hub's pattern. For a different wheel pattern, see wheel adapters for Dodge Charger, wheel adapters for Dodge Dakota or 6x5.5 hub wheel adapters.
