Ford Wheel Spacers
Ford Wheel Spacers for the F-150, Mustang, F-250 and F-350 Super Duty, Expedition, Explorer, Ranger and Bronco
Ford wheel spacers by bolt pattern: the non-HD, new-body F-150 2004–2026 (not the 2004 Heritage) and Expedition 2003–2026 use 6x135; the Mustang 1994–2026 uses 5x114.3; the F-250 Super Duty 1999–2025 and single-rear-wheel F-350 Super Duty 1999–2025 use 8x170. Each pair's conditions are below.

Ford spacer fitment guide & common questions
New-body F-150 2004–2014 (standard payload, not the seven-lug HD trucks or the 2004 Heritage) and Expedition 2003–2014 (6x135, 14x2.0 thread); F-150 2015–2026 and Expedition 2015–2026 (6x135, 14x1.5 thread) wheel spacers, 87.1mm hub
The new-body F-150 2004–2014 (standard payload; not the 2004 F-150 Heritage, an old-body truck; the seven-lug heavy-duty payload (HD) trucks of those years are 7x150 with a 14x2.0 thread and an 87.1mm hub and take the 7x150 pair, below) and Expedition 2003–2014 use 6x135 with a 14x2.0 thread; the F-150 2015–2026, F-150 Lightning 2022–2025 and Expedition 2015–2026 use 6x135 with a 14x1.5 thread. All of them have an 87.1mm hub. Two hub centric pairs match, one per thread: the 6x135 hub centric pair with 14x2.0 studs for 2004–2014 and the 6x135 hub centric pair with 14x1.5 studs for 2015–2026, each with an 87.18mm bore in 1", 1.5" and 2" and hub centric to factory wheels. The pair's studs must match your truck's thread. For a different wheel pattern, see wheel adapters for Ford F-150 or 6x135 hub wheel adapters.
F-150 2000–2003 (five-lug trucks, not the seven-lug 7700 package) and Expedition 2001–2002 wheel spacers: 5x135, 87.1mm hub
The F-150 2001–2003 (five-lug trucks only; the heavy-duty 7700 payload package has seven-lug wheels and a different pattern, so count the lugs) and Expedition 2001–2002 use 5x135 with a 14x2.0 thread and an 87.1mm hub: fit the 5x135 hub centric pair (87.1mm bore, 14x2.0 studs, 1" to 2") or the 5x135 bolt-on pair (87.2mm center bore, 14x2.0 studs, 1" to 2"). The wheel must seat flush on either pair; the 87.2mm-bore 5x135 bolt-on pair's listing says to shorten any factory stud that stands proud of its face and stops the wheel seating flush. The five-lug 1997–1999 F-150 and 1997–1999 Expedition use the same 5x135 pattern and hub but a 12x1.75 thread, which these 14x2.0 pairs do not match. A five-lug 2000 F-150 or a 2000 Expedition built before November 27, 1999 has a 12x1.75 thread; one built on or after that date has 14x2.0, so on a 2000 check the thread size (a 14x2.0 nut takes a 21mm socket, a 12x1.75 nut a 19mm) before ordering. The F-250 Light Duty 1997–1999 uses 7x150 with a 14x2.0 thread and an 87.1mm hub and takes the 7x150 bolt-on pair (87.1mm bore, 1.5").
F-250 Super Duty 1999–2025, single-rear-wheel F-350 Super Duty 1999–2025 and Excursion 2000–2002 wheel spacers: 8x170, 124.9mm hub, axle-specific hub centric pairs
The F-250 Super Duty and single-rear-wheel F-350 Super Duty 1999–2002 and Excursion 2000–2002 use 8x170 with a 14x2.0 thread and a 124.9mm hub. The F-250 Super Duty and single-rear-wheel F-350 Super Duty 2003–2025 use 8x170 with a 14x1.5 thread on the same hub (2026 is not yet confirmed by an outside source). Sources disagree on the exact thread changeover, so on a 2002, 2003 or 2004 Super Duty check the stud thread (14x2.0 or 14x1.5) before ordering. The 8x170 hub centric pairs are axle-specific: the front pair (125.1mm bore) goes on the front axle and the rear pair (125.3mm bore) on the rear, in 14x2.0 for 1999–2002 and 14x1.5 for the F-250 Super Duty and single-rear-wheel F-350 Super Duty 2003–2025, all 2" thick. The 1999–2002 front pair may not fit the rear axle without machining, so order the pair for each axle. For other thicknesses, the 8x170 bolt-on pairs (125.6mm center bore, 1.5" to 3") come in 14x2.0 and 14x1.5. If the factory studs stand proud of a bolt-on pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them. Adapters for these trucks: wheel adapters for Ford F-250, wheel adapters for Ford F-350 and wheel adapters for Ford Excursion.
Mustang 1994–2026, Explorer 1991–2010 and 2020–2026, and US Ranger 1983–2011 wheel spacers: 5x114.3 (5x4.5")
These Fords use 5x114.3 with a 1/2"-20 thread and a 70.5mm hub: Mustang 1994–2004 and 2005–2014, Explorer 1991–2010, Explorer Sport 1991–2003, Explorer Sport Trac 2001–2005 and 2007–2010, US Ranger 1983–2011 and Bronco II 1984–1988. Fit the 5x4.5" hub centric Mustang pair (70.6mm bore, 1/2" studs, 1" to 2", for factory wheels with a 70.5mm center bore), whose listing covers original wheels and, for vehicles not on its list, a factory hub shaped like its diagram and no taller than 20mm; on the Explorer 1991–2002 and US Ranger 1993–2002 that listing allows the pair on the rear axle only, because the front axle cap is longer, so up front use a lug centric 5x4.5" pair with 1/2" studs; this page does not carry one (its 12x1.5 and 14x1.5 pairs do not match a 1/2"-20 thread). The Mustang 2015–2026 and Explorer 2020–2026 moved to 14x1.5 studs on the same 70.5mm hub: their match is the 5x4.5" bolt-on pair with 14x1.5 studs (73mm center bore, 1"), not the 1/2" pair. If the factory studs stand proud of a bolt-on pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them. The Explorer 2011–2019, Flex 2009–2019 and Taurus 2008–2019 use the 5x114.3 pattern with a 1/2"-20 thread on a smaller 63.4mm hub; no pair here is bore-matched to them. For Mustang wheel conversions, see wheel adapters for Ford Mustang, and for the Ranger, wheel adapters for Ford Ranger.
The Escape 2001–2012 and Fusion 2006–2012 are 5x114.3 with a 12x1.5 thread and a 67.1mm hub: choose the 5x4.5" hub centric pair with a 67.1mm bore (12x1.5 studs, 1", for factory wheels with a 67.1mm center bore) or the 5x4.5" bolt-on pair with 12x1.5 studs (73mm center bore, 0.75" to 2"). The Probe 1989–1992 is 5x114.3 with a 12x1.5 thread and a 59.6mm hub and takes the 73mm-bore pair; the Probe 1993–1997 shares the pattern and thread with a 67.1mm hub, which the same 73mm-bore pair also clears. If the factory studs stand proud of a bolt-on pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them.
5x108 (5x4.25") wheel spacers for the Taurus 1986–2007, Focus 2012–2018, Escape 2013–2022 and Thunderbird 1989–1997 and 2002–2005; 4x108 (4x4.25") for the US Focus 2000–2011 and Fiesta 1978–1980 and 2011–2019; 63.4mm hub
Most of Ford's 5x108 and 4x108 cars with a 63.4mm hub use a 12x1.5 thread. 5x108: Taurus 1986–2007, Thunderbird 1989–1997 and 2002–2005, Windstar 1995–2003, Focus 2012–2018, C-Max 2013–2018, Escape 2013–2022 and Bronco Sport 2021–2023 fit the 5x4.25" bolt-on pair (70.7mm center bore, 12x1.5 studs, 1" or 1.25"). 4x108: US Focus 2000–2011, Contour 1995–2000, Fiesta 1978–1980 and 2011–2019 and EcoSport 2018–2022 fit the 4x4.25" bolt-on pair (73mm center bore, 12x1.5 studs, 1" to 1.5"). If the factory studs stand proud of either pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them. The Mustang 1974–1978 uses the 4x108 pattern with a 1/2"-20 thread, which the 12x1.5 pair does not match. Adapters: wheel adapters for Ford Taurus, wheel adapters for Ford Fiesta and wheel adapters for Ford Thunderbird.
The Aspire 1994–1997 and Escort ZX2 1998–2003 are 4x100 with a 12x1.5 thread and a 54.1mm hub: fit the 4x100 hub centric pair (54.1mm bore, 1") or the 4x100 bolt-on pair (64mm center bore, 1" to 2"). If the factory studs stand proud of a bolt-on pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them.
Bronco 1966–1996 (not the Bronco II), F-150 1987–1996 and E-150 1992–2006 wheel spacers (5x139.7, 5x5.5"); classic full-size Ford wheel spacers (5x127, 5x5")
The Bronco 1966–1996 (not the Bronco II), F-150 1987–1996 and E-150 1992–2006 use 5x139.7 with a 1/2"-20 thread and take the 5x5.5" bolt-on pair with 1/2" studs (1" to 2"). The Thunderbird 1973–1976 uses 5x127 with a 1/2"-20 thread and a 78.1mm hub and takes the 5x5" bolt-on pair with 1/2" studs (78.3mm center bore, 0.75" to 2"), whose listing covers the full-size Fords of 1973–1978. The Galaxie 1973–1974 and LTD 1973–1978 share the pattern and thread, but their hubs are not confirmed by an outside source, so measure the hub before ordering. The new Bronco 2021–2022 (not the Bronco Sport) and Ranger 2019–2026 use 6x139.7 with a 12x1.5 thread and a 93.1mm hub: fit the 6x5.5" bolt-on pair with 12x1.5 studs (108mm center bore, 0.75" to 3") after checking that your studs are 12x1.5, since performance trims are not separately confirmed. The 2023–2024 Bronco shares the pattern and hub, but its stud thread is not yet confirmed by an outside source, so check it before ordering. If the factory studs stand proud of a bolt-on pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them.
How to choose a Ford spacer: thread, hub bore, axle and thickness
Bolt-on spacers bolt directly to factory studs using separate hardware and feature their own integrated studs to mount the wheel, ideal for wider setups. Every pair named above is bolt-on. Slip-on spacers slide over existing wheel studs like a thick washer, ideal for thin adjustments. A slip-on takes its own thickness out of the thread engagement, so on any slip-on check that the studs keep full thread engagement at the thickness you choose, and fit longer studs if they fall short.
- Thread by generation: new-body F-150 2004–2014 and Expedition 2003–2014 14x2.0; F-150 2015–2026 and Expedition 2015–2026 14x1.5; five-lug F-150 2001–2003 14x2.0 (2000: 12x1.75 or 14x2.0 by build date); F-250 and single-rear-wheel F-350 Super Duty 1999–2002 14x2.0, 2003–2025 14x1.5 (on a 2002–2004 truck, check the studs: sources disagree on the changeover); Mustang 1994–2014 1/2"-20, 2015–2026 14x1.5; most 5x108, 4x108 and 4x100 Fords 12x1.5. A pair's studs must match your Ford's.
- Hub bore: a hub centric pair's bore matches the hub (87.18mm on the 6x135 pairs, 87.1mm on the 5x135 pair, 125.1mm front and 125.3mm rear on the 8x170 pairs, 70.6mm on the Mustang pair, 67.1mm and 54.1mm on the small-car pairs); a lug centric pair's center bore only has to clear the hub. If your Ford is not named above, measure the hub, or measure your bolt pattern if you are unsure of it.
- Axle: the 8x170 hub centric pairs are sold per axle; put the front pair on the front and the rear pair on the rear (the 1999–2002 front pair may not fit the rear axle without machining); on either, shorten any factory stud that stands proud of its face and stops the wheel seating flush.
- Thickness available: 6x135 hub centric pairs 1", 1.5" or 2" (hub centric to factory wheels), 5x135 pairs 1" to 2"; 8x170 hub centric rear pair and front pair 2" (one per axle; the 1999–2002 front pair may need machining to fit the rear), 8x170 bolt-on 1.5" to 3"; 7x150 1.5"; Mustang hub centric 1" to 2" (original wheels with a 70.5mm center bore; if not on the listing, a hub shaped like its diagram and no taller than 20mm), Mustang 2015 pair 1"; 5x4.5" 67.1mm hub centric pair 1" (for factory wheels with a 67.1mm center bore); 5x4.5" 12x1.5 pair 0.75" to 2"; 5x5.5" and 5x5" pairs up to 2"; 6x5.5" pair 0.75" to 3"; 5x4.25" 1" or 1.25"; 4x4.25" 1" to 1.5"; 4x100 1" to 2". Start with the thinnest pair that clears. The wheel must seat flush on any bolt-on pair, and on a thin bolt-on pair factory studs can stand proud of the face (most often at 1"); the listings for every bolt-on pair here except the 6x135 and 5x135 hub centric pairs and the 7x150 pair say to shorten them. On a slip-on, never shorten the studs, because they pass through it to the lug nuts; make sure they keep full thread engagement at the thickness you choose, fit longer studs if they fall short, and check that closed-end lug nuts don't bottom out.
- Torque: torque the nuts to Ford's specification for your model and check them again after the first 50 to 100 miles.
Common questions
Which spacers fit an F-150? By generation: 1987–1996 is 5x139.7 with a 1/2"-20 thread (the 5x5.5" pair); 2000–2003 five-lug trucks are 5x135 with 14x2.0 (the 5x135 pairs; on a 2000, check the stud size first, because trucks built before November 27, 1999 have 12x1.75; the seven-lug 7700 payload package has a different pattern, so count the lugs); new-body 2004–2014 is 6x135 with 14x2.0 on standard-payload trucks (the 6x135 hub centric pair with 14x2.0 studs; the seven-lug heavy-duty payload (HD) trucks of those years are 7x150 and take the 7x150 pair; the 2004 F-150 Heritage is an old-body truck and not covered here); 2015–2026, including the F-150 Lightning 2022–2025, is 6x135 with 14x1.5 (the 6x135 hub centric pair with 14x1.5 studs). The 6x135 hub centric pairs are hub centric to factory wheels. The five-lug 1997–1999 F-150 is 5x135 with a 12x1.75 thread, which no pair here matches. The wheel must seat flush on any of these pairs; the listings for the 5x5.5" pair and the 87.2mm-bore 5x135 bolt-on pair say to shorten any factory stud that stands proud of the pair's face and stops the wheel seating flush.
Which spacers fit a Mustang? Mustang 1994–2014: the 5x4.5" hub centric Mustang pair (70.6mm bore, 1/2" studs, original wheels with a 70.5mm center bore; if not on its list, a hub shaped like its diagram and no taller than 20mm). Mustang 2015–2026: the 5x4.5" pair with 14x1.5 studs. If the factory studs stand proud of a bolt-on pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them.
Which spacers fit an F-250 or single-rear-wheel F-350 Super Duty? 1999–2002: the 8x170 hub centric rear pair and front pair with 14x2.0 studs (one per axle; the front pair may need machining to fit the rear), or the 8x170 bolt-on pair with 14x2.0 studs. F-250 and single-rear-wheel F-350 Super Duty 2003–2025: the same pairs with 14x1.5 studs. On a 2002, 2003 or 2004 truck, check the stud thread first: sources disagree on the changeover. If the factory studs stand proud of a bolt-on pair's face and stop the wheel seating flush, shorten them.
Do the F-150 spacers fit an Expedition? Yes, by year: the Expedition 2003–2014 takes the 6x135 pair with 14x2.0 studs and the Expedition 2015–2026 the 6x135 pair with 14x1.5 studs, the same pairs as the standard-payload, new-body F-150 2004–2014 (14x2.0; not the seven-lug HD trucks) and the F-150 2015–2026 (14x1.5), each hub centric to factory wheels; the five-lug 2003 F-150 is 5x135.
Do bolt-on Ford spacers include lug nuts? Each listing says what it includes. The pair fastens to the hub with your own lug nuts on a studded hub, or with hub-side lug bolts in your car's thread and seat, bought separately, on a lug-bolt hub, since bolt-on spacers never include lug bolts. The wheel mounts on the pair's studs with the lug nuts named in that listing, or with lug nuts matching its stud thread if none are named.
Can a spacer change my Ford's bolt pattern? No. A spacer keeps the hub's pattern. For a different wheel pattern, see wheel adapters for Ford F-150, wheel adapters for Ford Mustang or 5x4.5 hub wheel adapters.
